Botcon Customizing Class Mold Announced!

A new update has been posted at Botcon.com regarding the Customizing Class being taught by Shawn Tessman.

The mold that will be used will be Classics Grimlock, however, the character that he will be changed into is still remaining a secret.

It is suggested here for anyone who is in the class to bring their own Classics Grimlock with them. This will help the class attendees when trying to combine all the parts after painting as a tool of reference.

The class will be about gluing all his joints together except for 5, thereby creating a new ActionMaster!

It could be BW Dinobot...

I wish they picked a mold that functions properly, though.

Cool! Here's my ideas of who it might be (yes, some of them are a bit of a stretch):

Trypticon
Gnaw/Sharkticon (retooling)
BW Dinobot
BW Megatron
G2 Grimlock
T-Wrecks
Skylynx (retooling)
Rippersnapper
Overkill

I'm baffled. Who would we make? BW Dinobot?

Trypticon and BW Megatron are about the only two realistic guesses I can think of, although BW Megatron does not fit anywhere in this years figure line, and Trypticon as a Deluxe t-rex is kinda sad (not as sad as being a LoC Dragon though...)

One has to figure that this is going to be a relativley simple custom, since they couldn't very well hand out Exacto knives, Dremels and soldering irons to a class of people who've never used them before.
Mind you, I it's a great idea, and I'd love to see a never assembled Transformer fresh from the factory.

This isn't fair! Why isn't Hasbro releasing an unpainted Transformer! Don't they know that all the fandom would want this!

Hate to tell ya', but xactos are there, and Shawn had a dremel for use to use last year...

BUt it will be something simple involving painting not other major cosmetic changes, as that would most likely be too difficult.

Maybe, he will become Overkill like previously mentioned, all they would have to do is slap a horn on him, and give him different guns.

Ah, but if the horn in on the head, then it will have to be able to split in half when transforming into robot mode.

Why didn't anyone else, I thought that was some good comedy, an anecdote, or even a Haiku?

An unreleased figure at botcon
Enraged fans protesting but not for unpopular ones
More than meets the eye

Gah! That's right! I wasn't thinking about the mold at the time. Guess there still might be some way around it.

I could see that working, if you don't care about the whole light pipping thing.

He had gold eyes anyway so just paint over them.
