Tell me, when's the last time you went on an all out hunt for the greatest transformer of all time, Spanning over possibly years to obtain it, or the monitery funding or trade for it, and when you finally get it...
you are dissapoint? or you break it?
I remember, I hunted down Armada Cyclonus. (Good figure IMO, maybe not the best example though. I was little, sue me!) I have him now, but back around the first time I got him...my uncle stepped on him...
Any stories you'd like to share of simular accurences happening to you? Or it just fell apart or broke or was just, downright dissapointing? Id'e like to hear about said experience, As it happens to everyone, so here's a place to tell about it!

Armada Starscream... I wanted him since Armada... got him about a year and a half ago. He's not that bad, just he's kind of bricky

G1 Prowl.

Always wanted him from a kid. I finally managed to get him in the nineties as a 'Euro classic' reissue after saving up my pocket money. I think he managed about 2 weeks before I accidentally dropped him down the stairs and he broke.

I did get him again years later as a US commemorative reissue, and needless to say his managed to last a damn site longer than 2 weeks.

united Decepticon Trio - scourge/cyclonus and galvatron

absolute crap...**** me i was disapointed.....
i felt like i had wasted £100 on garbage! the normal versions look amazing and i LOVE clear/transparent figures but when i got ahold of these guys....well galvatron is just a floppy crap mess, scourge feels like hes made of weak plastic and cyclonus feels like everytime i TRY to move or transform him that the parts are going to break/snap

i have them in display in robot modes as classics is all i collect but i just feel like a got the crap end of the deal on these guys really...would much rather have my 100 back

my animated starscream, his hand popped right out the first time I transformed. My jaw dropped. I ended up gluing it in there, as it never stayed in.

Predaking. Awesome! BUT! Is this the right way to put the wings? This? No. That doesn't lock in to place. Maybe that way? Hm. I'm not sure...

G1 Venom. Had him as a kid and really liked him. Finally got a really nice one foe a good deal a couple years back. As soon as I opened the package and transformed him once to inspect it (and it was perfect) I dropped it and snapped his arm off. I was pissed!!!
Nevertheless I went back on EBay a few minutes later after my shock and anger disapated and bought another one. Luckily it wS just as good as the one I just broke. Plus it was close to the same price.
I'm still bummed about it though.

A few years back, I won an Ebay auction that included Tigerhawk and TM2 Dragon Megatron. I was stoked because when I was a kid I only saw TM2 Megatron once and didn't have the money to get him at the time (so I got TM2 Dinobot). He finally arrives in the mail and I'm just giddy. I take out Tigerhawk first and he's pretty much pristine. Then I take out Megs. All seems fine at first, until I transform him from bot to dragon mode. I notice he has no scale plates on his neck! I check the auction listing and the only indication that Megatron was missing these scales was the fact that the seller said Megs was "99% complete" which I took to mean he was missing his missile (which he was).

I eventually got another TM2 Megatron for a steal of a price so it's all good now. I was kind of pissed that I hadn't noticed the missing scales on the first Megatron though. What's even worse is that the seller turned out to be a member of this site.

Skids and Mudflap Ice Cream Truck. I bought it after only seeing it once before in a store (probably the same one). And then I break one of the connecting pegs. Seriously, excluding the multi-pack ones, that figure was more fudging rare than Cybertron Wing Saber. I never got a new one and just typing this has me in a silent rage. I'm somewhat pissed this thread even exists now for reminding me of that ****. Bye. I'm going to f around in General Discussion.

My Vintage Dai Atlus. Got him pristine in a factory sealed box at BotCon 2001 for 3-400 bucks. Has been minding its own business on my shelf since then. Recently noticed that both of his rubber treads have split through of their own accord. Stuck with the inescapable feeling that one of my grails is now totally ruined due to the damnable effects of "toy entropy". :-x

I wouldn't say it was my most wanted transformer, but at the time i really wanted to add one to the shelf. Movie 2 legends devastator, since the release of it in August 2009, i waited up until christmas, in which i had it and loved it. but after Christmas, (26th) Scavengers arm snapped and i was :BANG_HEAD: and  so now i have waited 2 years to get another and still aint got one, all these new lines of figures keep comin out and with each new line comes another product i seem to love. and yes i liked it when it arrived, some stuff i was disapointed with but not much. i could of just turned my eye to daddy dev

Kids are always rough on their toys whether they intend to or not. Adults ont he otherhand will have fewer and fewer toys break on them. I've had only a few transformers break on me as an adult. Three of them broke because kids were playing w/ them. The others that broke on me was because plastic had gotten old and brittle, joints too stiff, etc.

When I was a teenager I had a paper route where I used the money to buy an almost complete set of Stunticons (I missed Wildrider). My mom took them away because I was using paper route money instead of saving it up. To this day the Stunticons are my favorite combiner team.

Yes... but only once. I was seaching toy shops few weeks before the release date of universe 2.0 .... Looking for heavyload. Then when i saw a seibetron report of them being released in SG toysrus, i immediately went. When i got home... somehow it looked better in the botcon pics (:| But he's still very nice anyways ~ it was just not as awesome as i expected.

Yeah it's not a tight fit. and somehow he is really leaning forward and seems loose at the 1st notch of his thigh joint even though i only transformed him once! :-( RAGE and i really went to japan to buy this guy, lest his crotch snaps on me :-x Does yours bend forward?

I was searching everywhere for a 2007 movie Arcee, and I finally got her last week off of Ebay, and she was missing the missile for the seat bow. Normally I don't care about missiles, but that one activates the automorph of the gun. And the seller didn't even mention it at all. Someone's getting an unfavorable review...

Well, since were all talking here, mine happened (Again) During armada, with Scavenger. Not only was he an autobot, but his legs just made me mad! I mean, I disliked megatron's legs, imagine how much I less preferred an autobot Constructicon on a unicycle.....
yet for some odd reason, I don't mind armada prime's super mode. I still have him, jetfire, and overload. Nice set, highly recomended.

For me the 70's camaro movie bb. I got him for my tenth bday and he was my favorite tf. My neighbor comes over and he doesn't notice the button on the hud. He busts the automorph. I finally get another in October and he stays in good condition until one awful day in December. The night before I find the new camaro bb and think sweet now I can have the past and present of bb. My neighbor comes over to see the new bb. I had the 70's bb on a table in my living room and had carried the new bb to my room accidentally. I get back to my living room and saw it my neighbor broke my second 70's bb. I was so mad that I kicked him out of my house. We're still friends but still haven't gotten a new 70's bb.

Opened 2.0 voyager Tread Bolt(classics jetfire mould) the other night transformed him put his back pack on and what an excellent figure he his

then stupidly without thinking i went to fold his cannons over his shoulders without cocking them back first then all i see is something fly out across the room my stomach fell through my arse and i got a big panic sweat

It was the tip of the right cannon it looked snapped i was wounded then to finish me off the left tip flew off as i was checking the brake point :BANG_HEAD: i thought i was going to pass out

But as luck has it the tip of the cannons actually can pop off ther on a little thin black nub probably for situations like this the relief was something else.

Cybertron Scattershot and the 3 Recon Minicons. I got them in early 2007 (before the movie line hit stores) and I was impressed with the Minicons, and Scattershot too, except for one thing. I found out he couldn't bend his knees. It didn't upset me that much but it was a let down for me. I still enjoy him though.

This happened recently. I was searching around for a good decent deal for a HFTD Human Alliance Jazz, with Captain Lennox well I am not an Ebay shopper, and I prefer store front type web sites Like BBTS, and ToyWiz...ect. Well I paid 40 bucks for this figure, not including 9 bucks shipping.
Well the bad part was I started going to local TJ Maxx and Ross stores, searching for older Transformers, and to my dismay I have found as many as 5 of these figures for ....wait for it......17 bucks, plus tax...AAAHHH!!!
Some times a little leg work, and patience can save a whole lot of cash...lol. Lesson learned.

Yeah, well, your lucky, Iv'e been lookin for him for ages! At least you found him SOMEWERE! I Hate Ebay Gaugers! If I saw Jazz for $17.99, Id'e pick up two. One for me to play with, and one to keep MISB For display and in case something tragic happened to the first one.
