And if not, is there any word on when we might get word of the 2012 location?

Countdown to "I hope it's..." thread in 3... 2... 1...

Seriously, the News Crew will post spotlights, news stories, and there will be threads in a lot of different boards when it gets announced.

My girlfriend and I loved Pasadena both times. I don't want it there every year but I wouldn't be upset or surprised if it was there again. Especially considering the TF ride at Universal is only going to be in Cali for the the forseeable future and it opens shortly before Botcon. The food places and convenience of that location are a huge plus for us. Plus it's great already knowing your way around a bit.

Here's to hoping Cali falls into the ocean before BotCon is announced.

It was better when it roved the country and wasn't biased to either coast.

Hard to justify plane tickets, hotel rooms and the like for Transformers. I would rather have money to spend on them when I get there

I've only been to one BotCon here in Chicago and would gladly go to another as long as costs are reasonable.

Find other stuff to do while you're there! For the 2010 convention in Orlando, I talked my gf into coming with me. In the mornings, she laid by the pool while I did the convention stuff, and then we went to the Disney parks in the afternoon. The hotel had an awesome pool and poolside bar where we hung out at night, and one night there was the Seibertron party at the poolside bar. Oh, and BEFORE the convention we spent one night at a historic B&B in downtown Orlando. So it was an Orlando/Disney vacation, with the convention thrown in!

Anyway, I DOUBT it will be Pasadena again, because I don't see them doing the same city two years in a row. My guess would be it will be East Coast for 2012, or maybe Midwest.

Well, on their questionnaire, they did ask your opinion on holding it in the same location every year, so it's not out of the question...

Yeah, that's what got my attention as well. I live in Georgia and I would prefer not to fly or drive across the country every year. Even if it's up North like in Chicago (though I wouldn't like going there either) it would still be better than California. Orlando? 8 hours' drive. Bring it on.

They should make Botcon a permanent resident of Texas ;)

But, seriously, I would be super pissed if they made Cali the permanent place cause that is so far and expensive. Besides they already have Comic-Con, they don't need another badass convention. Botcon should travel around the US every year to be convienent for everyone at some point.
