Courtesy of Cybergundam we have scans of Dengeki Hobby's September 2011 edition. Not a lot of new content, but we get images of MP-10 Convoy Version 2.0, the Chronicle two-packs, Tomica's non-transforming Bumbleebee and Optimus Prime die-cast vehicles, and Tomytec scale model Starscream kits. Images form the Cybergundam blog mirrored below.

So Optimus Prime is going to sport the same Matrix as Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime came with. Ah well, thank God I bought Ultra Magnus and I can take his matrix out without feeling like he is "incomplete."

Most likely, this will get a US release around 2014, as a 30th Anniversary thing, sorta like the original MP Optimus. Just a guess though.

I didn't knew MP Optimus's trailer could become a repair bay like that. Cool.

Don't count on it, especially with the trailer.

This will either be an SDCC/TRU exclusive...just look at the pattern, all Takara Masterpiece figures have been released on the US market as toned-down exclusives by Hasbro, whether it is a Walmart/TRU exclusive, general market release or the trunk of Pookie's Cadillac, we will see this out eventually...probably with shorter smokestacks & no trailer...who want's to place a bet on this?! :lol:

So.... rather than create more MP in the future with true scale to the original Prime and Meg, they will release smaller version to meet the Rodimus and Grimlock size? Sigh, great toy design but ...... disappointing. =;

IMO the original Optimus is too big.

I'm with you in this one. It was so big that playing around with it became a chore. Grimlock, the Seekers and Rodimus were just the right size, big enough to be visually impressive but not overly heavy and bulky that their joints had a hard time maintaining their given pose. It's the same argument I have with Leader and Supreme class figures.

I greatly desire the MP-10 Optimus! I just wish there was some solid intel on a US release. I would love to pay $150 for it without the trailer, or something like that.

It's a dilemma. I don't want to miss out, and it would be cool to display with the trailer as the masterpiece of my collection, and I would treasure this bad boy forever. I may have to go for it. I just wish I knew one way or the other about US availability! I can buy a lot of Transformers or clothing for $250. :-?

LOL...of course why would Hasbro re-release another mold of the same characterv :grin: Concept Camaro BumbleCOUGHbee...to be honest, I hope they release this guy in the American market, it'll give a chance for some collectors to obtain this guy at a decent price, just like MP Rodimus...sure he's not as cool as the Takara version, but he does fill in the void :KREMZEEK:
