Any confirmation on Generations/RTS repacks?

I don't have the time to comb every thread, site, forum etc so I was just wondering about it. I know there were rumors in the past that they would release more of the Warpath Gens cases or repack them with some of the RTS figs in future lines or something but is that still in the cards or are they done with these and moving on to new and different classics figs? Thanks in advance for any insight.

At SDCC, the question was welcomed on the same merit as the first rule of fight club. I assume you're talking about Rumble, Windcharger, and the rest of the gang. They keep saying they'll try to fit them in somewhere. By somewhere, I believe they meant Tj Maxx. It seems to be a problem they hope time will mend, and people will forget or move on. I just dont see it being something they think will be worth re marketing to brick and mortars. Repaints are possible, as we saw Fracture released under the movie line, but lets be honest, Classics are clogging. Everyone that wanted them panicked and bought online. Our only hope for that line is that kids will start digging on them and demand them, but without any kind of promotional media surrounding those figs, that hope is all but gone. Stores arent going to buy clogging lines, unless theyre wholesale packaged as some kind of deal with the mainstream lines. And Hasbro isnt going to keep supplying a product that doesnt make money. In my opinion, in two to three years the number of classics collectors will be cut in half, and theyre going to flood ebay. Families will happen, and the target market will liquidate accordingly for higher priorities. I think IF TF Prime moves to CN, that it is the future of the franchise. Its hard to turn your back on a movie that becomes the highest grossing film of your career, so we will see what Bay does. But to answer your question in a nutshell, I think that Rumble is the only one with a chance of mass release. Sorry for the rant!

hey, if they are clogging up stores in the USA, send them to the UK folks

So far i was lucky and found soundwave, thunderwing, cliffjumper and skullgrin at retail in the UK
Via the joys of ebay i've bought:
Kup
tracks
thundercracker
dirge
warpath
prime
thrust
Be nice if i could grab the rest somehow......

The last Scout wave of Reveal the Shield is effectively canceled, that includes Rumble. If Hasbro were to release him they'd have done so by now, at least that's what I think.
On the brighter side, Sky Shadow (Black Shadow's new name, give trademarks a thank you from me) and Junkheap ("Junkyard") will be released this Fall, and will be joined by:
Warpath
Sergeant Kup
Wheeljack
Scourge
So Thundercracker is not in it.

Hmmm. Well, this means the aftermarket values for those figures will die and we'll not be seeing ebayers getting 20-30 bucks plus shipping for them. That's good for those who want them, bad for those who care about value. And the reality of collecting is, aftermarket value does help drive the market, keep folks interested, and continue interest in order for a company to continue making similar products.
I really would like to be able to scoop up the Junkion, Rumble (Frenzy too if he is possible), and Windcharger though. I'm not sure who Sky Shadow/Black Shadow is though. I'll have to look him up.

Okay, I just TFwiki'ed Sky Shadow and it looks like he could be a cool classics figure. never heard of him before though. He seems a like minded as Animated Swindle. The only thing that i don't care for is his "sonic boom" attack. That one was always Thundercraker's in my eyes. But still, I'll be looking forward to see how Sky Shadow turns out in classics form.

I will say the collecting ways these days need more strategy and luck than before, even just comparing to two years ago. Now with high gas price, driving around to do the toy hunting isn't a joy anymore. I did most of the retail shopping before because I like the joy of finding a wanted toy in a store and hurrying into my car and open it. But recently I started online shopping more because by counting the gas price in and time driving around to find a I-don't-believe-I-will-find-it figure, somehow mouse clicking saves me more money and time (of course if I can find reasonable price). That being said, if people are less and less buying toys from retails, does that mean they will order less and less for us collectors? A bad loop I guess.
Back to topic, strategy and luck. The way I got Windcharger is of course I got a friend at UK. Same thing he got me here so he can get stuffs that are hardly or never seen at UK. I also got United Frenzy/Rumble in a very reasonable price without even paying for shipping. Wife's friends were coming visiting from another country and I found a toy store near them had that set and was even on sale. Hasbro just couldn't count on these days. The RTS legends and voyagers never showed up at retails here but directly hit TJ Maxx and Marshalls.
By the way, Warpath, Kup, Wheeljack, Scourge and even Thundercracker are slowly showing up recently. Does that mean it's about time or they are left overs?

Yep, I find myself doing much more online purchasing as well. Of couse the enticing "bill me later" from paypal has given me a little freedom for an impulse buy.

In terms of Rumble, my guess (and it's completely a guess based on what I know, which is nothing) is that he and Frenzy will appear within a few years. The mold is there, and I'm not sure they'd want to let it sit when they could use it and make some money off of it. If the figures have already been made, then they're going to sell them to get rid of them. If not, we might see a release in a future line, perhaps some slight redecos to add them to the Generations lines, so they can get some mold usage.
Perhaps they'll release it as a Frenzy/Rumble two-pack, maybe they'll try to get someone to pick it up as an exclusive.
But that's just my thought, and I'm sure there are plenty of reasons why I'm wrong.

Same here.
I wish RTS would be streaming out again too.

Slowly showing up..... I've been moving these to the side to look behind all of these lately. At a target today there were 3 of each. At a walmart I went to they have there own Generations section with tons of them.

So true. I bet everyone here has bought a TF as soon as he saw it, only to regret the purchase b/c that same TF would be on sale a few months later.
Unfortunately, I passed on the 4 RTS toys I'm still looking for (Wreck-Gar, Perceptor, Jazz, & G2 Laser O.P.), thinking that they'll just be on sale if I wait a little longer. When I noticed that I saw ONLY ONE of each at the major retailers, I feared that I made a big mistake. Now I know it was a mistake. CRAP!!!
I don't want to pay $30+ for them on eBay.
Please Hasbro, if TRU, Walmart, etc. won't restock these figures, put them for sale on HTS! The discount retailers Ross, Marshall's, & TJ Maxx, and the drugstore duo of Walgreens & CVS, have such crappy inventory.
ETA: I NEVER found Highbrow. And by the looks of things on eBay, it seems that VERY FEW did.

Not so much fear. I see these guys all the time at rite aids, Walgreens, and once at Ross. Yeah, there probably not in the bigger stores anymore, but there still out there. Not in mass, but you can find them here and there.

You're in luck, I have a loose one for sale in my BST thread. Unless you are uninterested, or bought it online.
Warpath wave is slowly leaking to retailers. I have seen it more than once at a local Target. Stocked, sold out, stocked again. All four figures have been there at least twice when I have been, and pieces of the wave have been there at other times.
I never saw a Wreck Gar, Windcharger, or Perceptor at retail--TJMaxx or other.

Yeah, Highbrow was rare. I didn't see him until like 5 months later after everyone else had theirs. Then one time I saw him at a target stuffed in behind other toys. Someone had "hid" him there and it was only luck I stumbled on him.
Good luck is all I can say.
