Hard to find a C16 Lio Convoy?

I have been searching the web for a C16 Lio Convoy, the larger one not the robot masters one, and all I can seem to find are really high priced alternate colored versions, or cheap knockoff versions. Does anyone know where I can score a decently priced original C16?

Does it matter if its the Sonokong version? I know of the place that might have one.

The supplies of that figure seem to have dried up a few years ago and it is now commanding a premium price. I think I sold mine for about $80 two years ago to a friend. It was over $100+ on eBay at the time.

Just checked ebay. Most expensive costs around US$ 99.99. And that's the regular version.

My version btw cost around US$ 15.00 almost 15 years ago. It was an original but lacked the Maximal rub sign in his Matrix chamber.

I saw a version on ebay that looked like it may be the sonokong version but it had no definite manufacturer markings on the box. I am not really familiar with Sonokong, are they decent production quality?

Practically on par with Takara. Sonokong is basically the Korean "partner" of Takara, and right now they've released Galaxy Force (Cybertron) toys in South Korea.

Okay thanks ;) I will keep that version in mind then. I purchased the deluxe RM version for 30 bucks on ebay last night. I'm not really sure if it was a good deal but it seemed fair.

That's pretty good. :) RM Lioconvoy is considered the better version by some, as the transformation of it larger cousin can be fiddly.

And dang it, that's why I cant find him anymore! :BANG_HEAD:

I prefer the face sculpt of the RM version (which I unfortunately don't own) :BANG_HEAD:

As the lady said, Sonokong is basically just the same in a Korean box.
