Sorry that happened. No. Or I should say not yet. You are making me scare of touching him now.

That's why the handlebars should never be manipulated by hand when going to robot mode, and just let the automorph do its thing. It's happened plenty of times.
Still sucks this has happened. Hope you can fix it.

I've been worried about those handlebars since the day I bought it. I try to manipulate them as little as possible.

Mine has a crack on the very place yours broke. I've been aware of the issue and was very careful the first time I got mine. Which, was brand new, and before I transformed him noticed that crack. If I'm not careful with mine, I'm sure it'll break soon. So, I wonder if it's not just a transforming flaw, but also just part of the QC.

i would say both. if you cut those bumps off the end caps where they plug in it should help.

Mine broke too. I didn't know that part auto-morphed.

REally? I always thought the automorph felt like it put a lot of pressure on it.

I am not a fan of automorph. To me - it seems like an unnecessary gimmick that can cause issues and breakage.

The issue here is force and placement of said force. Mileage may vary, but our fingers and hands can be pretty strong (I know mine are), and putting a lot of force on a small sturdy part causes stress and eventually breakage.
What Wreck-Gar's automorph does is distribute the total force among three key joints: the ankle and the two handlebars. This lessens the stress on the two places. Simple physics, really
It's not a total failsafe however, as the nubs for the connection are pretty strong, and thus overcompensation is pretty likely.

That sucks about bruticus. How did you fix your wreck-gar? The only reason I want to know is because both of the handle bars on mine are about to break.

Broken RTS Wreckgar is better than no RTS Wreckgar at all.

Same happened to mine. I had to pay aftermarket again, for another Wreck Gar. Sad part is, I wasn't manhandling the first one in the first place. I just lightly grabbed the handlebar and moved it softly and it popped right off. It may have had a stress fracture already but it simply fell right off. It was new in the package too. I haven't put my fingers near the bars on the second one.

Same thing happened to my Wreck-Gar. I had to buy a new one. Still debating whether to cut those nubs off or just leave him in bot mode forever...

I played with mine last night and discovered that one side has those fracture marks and I'd already cut off the nubs then forgotten.

Cut them, it makes transforming him much easier.

I always hate modifying my figures, but I guess it's for the best. Had to shave down Animated Arcee's sword handles, I can do this.
