Who's the worst masterpiece TF?

I only have the ones released int he US but to me the worst is Grimlock.
Not as posable, more kibble and a weak light up gimmick make him my least favorite.

All the MP molds are pretty awesome. But some of the repaints...
Ultra Magnus. Weak repaint and no armor. Fail.
Sleep mode Prime/Convoy is pretty lame and pointless.
The first Starscream...not a repaint, but a poor decision to deco it that way.
The comic deco Grimlock is a bit silly...especially for $250. WTF?
But one question to the OP, what kibble are you talking about? The G1 accurate dino kibble that's supposed to be there? I think most would be pretty bent out of shape if he were missing those trademark features...

I like Grimlock, except he's just way too tiny compared to the rest of them. He actually looks better next to Alternators.

Grimlock isn't really perfect (limited right-hand posability due to the light-up gimmick; and who came up with the tailwagging?), but definitely not the worst.
Sleeping Prime (cause everybody knows he will be resurrected!) - The necessary black recolor, and he looks cool.
My vote goes to the new Optimus. Nerfed down MP that nobody had any need for (scale accurity my afterburner, he is a G1 character!)

The worst is Megatron. It was a good try, but too fragile, and very, very, very hard to transform.
Sleep Convoy, well you know what you are getting, It's really a repaint no one needed, or knew they wanted, but still a cool toy like all MP Prime are.
Grimlock is really good. Starscream is good. Rodimus is good.
Since it is masterpiece, most of these are really good. Just have to weigh your spending because they are VERY expensive, and getting more so.
EDIT: I have not bought any Takara Masterpieces that are movie figs. So Movie Starscream and BBee, I am not weighing, so as you can tell, I believe they are worse than all the others, because I have not bought them.

For me, Megatron. The others I've transformed a few times and played with. Him, I worry about breathing too hard on the thing.

Somehow I don't think the two pic is related at all.

Based on all the horror stories......I have never transformed my MP Megs. If such breakage are so prevalent like that of the Yamato Valkyries, I'd say in terms of "transformability", Megs should be the worst. But in terms of being uber awesome in functionality and cartoon accuracy, all of them are Masterpieces.
Btw, MP Megs was supposed to have a "Star of Cybertron" component, but evidently, did not pass through the planing stage. That and if they could have added the secret comportment on his heel (that's were he stashed that laser dagger in the 1986 Movie used to cut Optimus in their fight)then Megs would have been the Ultimate G1 MP.
Haven't gotten any of the Bayformers Takara Masterpieces btw.

That's the City Commander for Classics Magnus. I have and like the MP-02 Magnus but if they were to have made an official armor I'd probably have to pass. I don't want Magnus as scratched up as my MP-01 Convoy (played with almost to death!) but I'm hoping that the new smaller MP-10 will get a Magnus redeco with armor.

And the silencer parts... Now I really have to get a MP Megs.

Based on how the movie character looks? Yeah. As an MP figure, not so much but it is Takara that put it in the MP universe.

I love all the Masterpiece TF toys released by Hasbro & Takara.
My favorite thing about the masterpiece TF toys is as follows: (1) their extremly super poseable (2) the line is geared towards adults
(3)no silly nor annoying gimmcks that cater to teddlers/kids (4) as far as updated TF G-1 hommages goes, nothing beats the masterpiece TF toys as far as capturing the 1980's TF toys+media designs. (5)for the most part, who ever is picking out the color schemes & highlights/decals is thus far doing a superior job. (6)masterpiece TF toys have the best accessories & weapons ever.
Regarding the thread starter's comments regarding MP Grimlock being the worst in his opinion out of all MP TF toys. most TF fans would dis-agree with you & say MP Grimlock is the best out of all the MP TF toys. due to MP Grimlock being so overly bulky, have the best joint technology/engineering & extremly stable in both modes. most who hate the MP TF toy line call MP Grimlock a fluke because they can't believe how superior MP Grimlock is compared to the other MP TF toys.
I suspose If I had to select the weakest MP TF toy out of the lot. I'd select MP Megatron due to the pin joints in the hip structure & the ankle/feet joints. which make trying to create a stable robot mode a hassel, takes time & it's still leans to one side in robot mode.
I'm hoping the non-diecast metal horror monarh leader being created by igear which will be 8 to 9 inches tall & have a smaller arm canon will be more stable in robot mode. it just seems like the diecast feet & metal pin joints+metal back wire frame add too much weight to the robot mode & make it heavy in the wrong display robot spots.

Sure his shoulder articulation is poor but he has the best neck, waist and leg articulation. Actually, maybe Hot Rod beats him on legs now.
Megatron has poor articulation overall. The seekers have the wing breakage issue.

Movie Masterpieces are a joke
Megatron is impossible
Optimus is a brick
his obligatory repaints are pointless
the Seekers are cluttered
Grimlock is... meh
Rodimus is fragile
I'm not a fan of masterpiece TFs anyway, but even if I was about 90% of them are either too flawed or just plain look terrible.
Oh, I am liking the look of the new MP Prime though

With choosing not to open my TRU Grimlock cuz of the unique packaging I would assume that he would look great with CHUG TFs

. On my list to buy is MP-08x which I may transform just for the feel but I think I would keep him in dino mode mostly...'nuff said!

Of the ones I have (Prime, Megs, Screamer, and Grimlock), Screamer is the worst (for me). Too many spots where the plastic started developing stress marks after only a few transforms, and the design was created to be more faithful to the vehicle mode than the character's robot mode, ugh.

If you take the hip kibble off (it is actually pretty easy to pop on and off) it becomes a much more accurate representation.

Are you saying that iGear is making a smaller version of MP Megatron?

They're supposed to be, but considering how fragile their version of the most solid MP was, I can't even imagine how big a POS their version of the most fragile MP fig will be, especially once they scale it down.
