HobbyOne has posted some new information on Tomytec's upcoming 1/144 scale movie Starscream models. These non-transforming models are based on Starscream's F-22 fighter jet mode in both original and Cybertronian tattoo decos. Each set also comes with a scaled Bumblebee Camaro. These are priced at 3465 yen and set to release November 30th.

Will probably get the first one just so I'll have a very decent looking F/A-22 model.

As nice as they look, why not just go with MP starscream ??? Unless of course, you are an aviation buff. Kind of like the GI Joe Starscream toy. Just an oddball item for collectors to buy.

While leader class Starscream may be his best transforming figure from the Bay-verse, his fighter mode is not the best looking. Don't see the point in paying more money for something that I think is uglier. And yes, I am an aviation buff. Sue me for wanting perfection.

I wish that scale was wrong. 1/144 is pretty dinky, that's around 4-5 inches. I have never heard of a Model company named Tomytec before this but I know Trumpeter has a 1/144 F-22A model kit out there. I wish this would be more like a 1/72 or even a 1/48 scale kit instead.

For anyone that is interested in getting either the Movie 1 or movie 2 Starscream, Hobby Link Japan has them up for preorder for slightly cheaper (2,805 yen or about $36) than the original link in the news article. Also HLJ would be a better/safer bet to go with IMO.

If i really wanted a model F-22, i would buy a Tamiya set. 8-} Really, they are Japanese too and more "experienced" in making model kits so to speak.
