Hi:
I am helping a friend downsize his house. He had three boys and they had a pile of transformers. He asked me to help get rid of these for him. There is a local vintage toy seller that will likely buy these. I was just wondering if I need to ask 50 dollars or 5000? ANY help you can send my way would be appreciated. Here are some pictures.

Unfortunately for you, this lot is worth nowhere near $5,000, as most, if not all are incomplete, and most aren't Transformers at all: they're Gobots.

To help you on your way a bit, TFU.info has a handy ID tool for both Transformers and Gobots.

That was my initial thought, but some may find it a stretch. How about ID'ing the figures first, buyers will want to know who and what they're buying

Yeah, most of that is whats called a junker lot. People will buy them to take apart and add to their already broken transformers or for customization. Looks like you have a lot of Gobots. The most valueable pieces there are the guns and fists pile. If you can figure out what you have, you can part it out on ebay. People look for those accessories. Put the broken ones in a pile. Separate the unbroken ones, and put the weapons in a pile. Sell the broken ones as a junker lot, sell the individuals for a bit less than what theyre going for, and then try to sell the weapons. Just have someone figure out what you have.

Who's that scorpion thing in the bottom left corner? I just remember that I used to have him but I'm sure I didn't have any Gobots. Maybe it belonged to a friend and I'm confused.

I think I must have owned him. I remember the alt mode clearly and I also remember the legs becoming very loose. Bearing in mind that I still have my childhood G1 collection 99% intact I can't believe I threw him away.
