How long before too many flaws?

This one goes out to all you G1 holders and non-G1 fans I suppose, why not. I have a genuine G1 Blitzwing in decent looking condition with both weapons but only 1 missile with it's share of faded decals. I can only keep it in either fighter or tank mode because of the current flaws developed over time. One of the chrome wings for his feet is so loose it won't support him in bot mode and one of the hands just slides right out when you pull out the arm. His weapon just sort of holds it from sliding when you place it.

I would put money and bet that there may be some fans that could never part with a G1 or non-G1 regardless of it's condition, or how many flaws it has. Just now I thought of someone long ago I knew that kept a Megs that was just his legs and trigger piece...WTF! I don't know if I could hold on to something like that but I think some, maybe a lot of fans would. So I'm wondering if I should part with my Blitzwing. Does anyone know how I could solve the foot problem so I can keep him? I'm still building my TFC so I just recently got Blitzwing but that is a reissue.

So the questions are should I keep it, would you? Have you had this issue regardless of the flaws? Was it a G1 or other, and what would it take for you to toss or try to sell that TF? :VEHI:

I wouldn't throw away anything unless it was completely destroyed somehow. Even then, I'd salvage any parts I could. Even if you sell them cheap just to cover ebay fees, it helps someone else out there complete or fix their figure.

I'm guessing this is one you've had since being a kid.
My Armada super-base prime, which I've had since relatively young, has one of the normal robot mode arms broken clean off at the elbow, but I would never get rid of it.
Not only because I casn peg it on in truck mode, and super mode works fine, and i have bendy prime for a normal robot mode, and yaddah yaddah yaddah, but because it has sentimental value to me as the one I played with, got frustrated at, and loved as a kid.
No replacement would ever truly replace that.

If it's complete (with or without accessories) and transformable then I say it still has value. As a temporary fix you could slide a little piece of card or plastic between the foot and the ankle to hold it in place. I had to do that with some figures.

I'd keep him, especially if he has sentimental value. If you can get hold of a junker, you may be able to repair him, at least it may be worth looking into IMO.

Thanks everybody for your 2 cents, I will keep Blitzwing and worse case senario I will keep him in one alt mode or the other and get my hands on another Blitzy and keep him in robot mode.

Tips on removing faded decals properly??
