many people plan on getting him? i really like the design (i would definetly pass on the earphones though  ) of soundwave, and the mp3 player is genius, but for a 100 bucks, and you need your own memory..
i dunno.. i wouldn't necessarily use it alot, because i'm sure it wouldn't be the hardest thing to drop and break, but i'm a soundwave fan for sure. i wouldn't want him to sit, but i wouldn't want to cart him all over the place and dull him up, etc..
what do you guys think? is he worth the money?

Why not? You only live once! I plan on getting him and the headphones for my 7yo son.

I'm probably gonna get him, just because I love Soundwave. Not sure if I'll use him though, I've already got a good phone for an mp3 player.

He's gotta be worth getting. He's one of the best Soundwaves I've seen in a long time. The option of him actually playing music is nothing but an interesting gimmick to me.

Oh yeah I'm definately getting him in all of his bluey goodness. Flash memory SD cards aren't too expensive either. I've seen some 1GB cards go for as low as $15.00 in my area. If 4GB holds around 1000 songs, then 1GB should hold around 250. I may use it but probably won't take it outside or anything, just use it at the computer.

I have had him and the Rumble/Frenzy ear phones on pre-order though BBTS for months.

The way I look at it, a typical MP3 player costs about the same as ML SW anyway, so why not go for the gusto and get ML SW?

How can you not get one? I would consider this to be a true CLASSICs Soundwave.

Do you really need to ask? Of course I'll get him. Although I have no idea how to use an SD card, I'm sur eI can learn, all I have to do is ask the people that sell them what I do w/them & they can tell me how to get music on there & onto Soundwave.

It would be way cooler if you pluged a mini USB cable into a tape-con and upped you music to a miniSD stle chip in it. Then loaded the tape-con into his chest to play the music. Then you could have all your 80's hair metal on Frenzy and all your House Techno on Rumble.

THAT IT'S A 100 FREAKIN BUCKS, THAT'S WTF!!!

I'd love one, but the fact that it can play music means nothing to me. Now if that mold came out without the electronics and only cost say, $20, I'd be all over that.

I want one, I hope someone sells a broken one on ebay. I'll get that and use it as a fig.

I've put off buying any mp3 players so far.

But with this, I'll definitely get him.
I always wanted a working, full-size Blaster boombox, but an MP3 soundwave (and a new, kickass update of a sculpt no less)... oh hellz yeah, my N'a.

Not so sure about the transforming Rumble/Frenzy headphones though... sure, it'd make a complete "set", but I haven't seen hi-res pics of the sculpting yet. From what I did see, they look kinda' crappy, similar to Unicron's minicon.

Besides, there's something wrong about a Transformer toy being that close to earwax...
