One of the mods made a similar thread which I can't seem to find.

It's title was something like "Plastic crack.........."

Anyway, being one among the millions of fans of the franchise, I haven't exactly gone to the deep end to try and "catch them all"

But recently, I managed to complete all the Season One G1 Autobots and Decepticons (except the Dinobots). :x It took me nearly 23 years and I've finally done it! 8-}

The last guy btw was old Wheeljack( finally retired by KO version of him to oblivion)

So the feeling of elation that comes from the pleasure of the dopamine rush...........well, you know what I mean fellas.

I only have one complete collection and that the complete KayBee Exclusive Machine Wars collection.

In a couple more months though I should be close to getting some more complete sets though which will be very nice. Looking forward to being able to say I have quite a few complete sets.

Once I got all the Beast Wars cast members (most show-accurate versions of each and some customized/painted to be even more accurate and modded a TM Airazor into a deluxe sized Terrorsaur) I felt it.

It's a great feeling. I just bought Killer Punch and Survive on ebay tonight which will complete my Neo collection (at least the ones I actually wanted, including the ever elusive Elephaorpha).

So far I don't have a complete set of any line, but that's because there is no series that I want every figure from. Maybe TF Prime but it really depends on whether or not any of the figures really turn me off (so far none of them are unworthy of my collection :P).

:APPLAUSE: It's quite a nice feeling no? Thanks for sharing your experiences guys.

Now the long slog ahead for the Dinobots,Abominus,Computron,Sandstorm,Octane,Broadside, Ramjet and Thrust(Season 2 and 3).

Long gave up  on the Powerdashers,Omnibots and Whirl and Roadbuster.

I was just shy of about 5 figures from completing all of usa release G1. Two of them were powerdashers. I finally gave up because I had spent a lot of money on the last 50 or so figures in order to get there and they were all figures I never really cared for. After a buying hiatus I started selling off the ones I didn't want and trimmed the G1 collection by about half.

Congratulations mate! I'm pleased for you, and if I'm honest, I'm also just a bit jealous to.

My 84/85 collection is nowhere complete, there are gaps all over the place. As the originals are just so expensive MISB now, I've been forced to substitute a lot of bots with later re-issue versions, so if a TF doesn't get reissued, then I just cant afford to get it, sadly.

I stay away from MISB stuff at ebay. Too expensive  . Fortunately, all the TFs I won there though loose are near pristine condition.

I used to get a lot of loose TFs off eBay, especially junkers. I used to like doing restorations, using several damaged bots to make one decent one. However what I found frustrating with this, is there are differences in mold production for certain characters depending on the year of manufacture, so even though you could have two official 'identical' characters, subtle differences in their molds/components mean they are incompatible.

I wish I could find G1 TFs...I have almost all Animated toys. I'm missing Blitzwing, Blurr (Even though I had him for a short time), Ironhide, Blackout, and others than never made it to the US. And lots of repaints.

I had that feel when I got the Botcon Seekers, and then again when I found Generations Thundercracker, completing the retail Classics Seekers. I really love that feeling bros.
