That I bought a mint in sealed box masterpiece Rodimus Prime for 20 bucks? I originally bought it to sell it later but now I'm not so sure. I need advice, what would you do with it?

You lucky duckling! I've been trying to get a Hot Rod or Rodimus at a low price
Of course, it's all up to you, but I'd personally keep it in MISB.

The answer is really up to you, and what you want.
If you didn't really want or like the figure, and bought it for a financial gain to get money, or another figure you want, then sell it, as you originally planned.
Now if you have had a change of heart and really want the figure now, then by all means keep it. Just do me a favor if you do keep it, and by all means open it and play with the damn thing. That is what it is for. It is a toy.
I bought mine at retail with coupon, and same discount you did, and I have opened mine and enjoyed it, as much as others I have payed less or more for.
Keeping it MISB is for those that are looking for a financial return, or future sale of the toy.

Do you collect boxes or Transformers?
If you collect Transformers then open it and start transforming him! (be warned, it takes a while and you'll probably want soothing music and a soothing drink at hand)

I say you're either lying, or bought the Hasbro edition 2nd hand.

Set him free!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously pal open the toy, put him in an ultra cool pose and set him on your dresser. Then every other day or so, walk over and repose him in a different kick ass pose.
You cannot fully enjoy a figure if you are looking at him through a plastic prison. If you decide to sell him then ofcourse this opinion is worthless. If you are going to keep him however freeing him is the only way to enjoy a toy.
FREEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simple. If you want the figure, open him. If you have no interest in him, sell him.

I'm gonna guess your referring to the Hasbro TRU MP Rodimus. as the takara MP Rodimus MISB cost over $150+ not including shipping fees.
I'm curious how exactly did you get your MP Rodimus misb toy for $20? did you go to ebay & buy one? if yes,you also had to pay $9+ in shipping fees. which brings the complete total including shipping to around $30+
did you have a bunch or coupons or get a damaged box at the TRU store & buy it for $20?
Most TF fans including MYSELF got our Hasbro MP Rodimus TRU toy for free. as we bought a couple extra & sold them on ebay. some bought 2 or 3 extra & used the profits to get their toy for free.
some even went as far as to go to the TRU facebook page & print out the 20% off TRU store coupon. pay $47.99 & sell it on ebay for around $75.

I'd suggest going to u-tube & watching a fellow TF fan transform MP Rodimus back & forth.
I suggested u-tube,Because trying to bend the legs in half & get the metal feet positioned just right inside the car mode is perhaps the hardest part & most unpleasant part of this toy's transformation.

What do you mean by this? My only masterpiece figure? Yes, it's my first and only. If I kept it, I'd probably sell every thing else (because they are in terrible condition) and collect only masterpieces. Good idea anybody?

Alright Deathy, technically the figure itself was only 9.99, I merged the 9.99 shipping cost and rounded to the next whole number for easy reading.
I went on Ebay one day and saw him right there, seeing such a figure for so cheap and a seller having such positive feedback, I of course purchased without a second thought.
The seller soon messaged me saying that he intended to list it for higher.
Ebay gave it to me for the online asking price because they figured a seller of his experience should have noticed such a blunder.
I had no complaints because personally I hate it when someone buys out the whole Wal-Mart with the intention of charging ludicrous prices of fair internet goers.
To answer other various questions, it is a TRU exclusive, not Takara. No, I'm not lying. and yes, I'd love to high-five you, I'm not ugly.(I don't think.)

I meant if that's the one and only MP Rodimus figure you own, to open it...as opposed to being a duplicate purchase due to the price.

Based on many of the posts regarding scalping, I'm going to guess that most TF fans don't do this... Personally, most the local collectors look to hook each other up with whatever the latest hot figs are, so by the time everyone has been hooked up the supply has either dried up or it's no longer a hard to find figure going for stupid prices. But to each their own.

Sorry,I still find it hard to believe this story. Because I did weeks worth of ebay research on the starting prices of Hasbro's MP Rodimus. I didn't see any ebay sellers listing MP Rodimus for around nor under $9.99.
FWIW,Hasbro's MP Rodimus is a extremly popular selling toy on ebay right now. If such a $9.99 starting listing price existed & the seller had positive feedbacks with a high score. their would have been a few bids raising that price to around or over retail price.
Can you perhaps provide proof, like a ebay link with the auction you won?
BTW,FWIW,Ebay can't force the ebay sellers to do anything they don't want to. Ebay doesn't drive to the sellers house, grab the toy, throw it in a shipping box & mail it out to the buyer. in the end it's up to the buyer if they want to pay for the item. in the end it's up to the seller if they want to let the buyer have it or not.
