So after this thread no more about leader Ironhide?
But, to answer your question... I dunno, didn't buy one. Didn't care for it.

If you don't mind scale, then he's a yes, however, if you have scale issues, then forget him. The new voyager class is compatible with all the old voyager's weapons, soooo, alittle creativity from past lines till today could do your voyager justice.

He looks impressive enough but it's a "no".

Well, the guy is in scale with Leader Optimus Prime, All HA Figures, and more.
He's easy to transform.
Have lots of interesting gimmicks.
Vehicle mode is awesome.
Robot mode is perfect.
Hey, I love it so much, I bought TWO of him! (and because the second one was at 50% off)

Really, this is a great leader. Also, have some Youtube reviews:

I would have wanted him except for
1. Too simple transformation
2. Goofy feet... far cry from the original movie Voyager
3. Head can't turn; I do need my robots to have some dynamic poses and the head being able to turn is important for that. I have heard that the Takara version one can turn though but no one has confirmed that. I find it hard to believe though; wonder how the electronic gimmicks would work.

Probably the worst "toy" ever. Give me a good 'ol stick fresh off the maple tree. Now there's bang for your buck!

Dont understand how any one can crap on this figure, especially with all the other crap figures associated with the third movie. Both modes are great, especially for the price. I would put him on par with an MP figure.

No. He's in scale with HA but not leader Optimus.

If you don't mind that he's wearing jeans!

Ironhide is not based on your standard pick-up. It's a mother-lovin' GMC TOPKICK. This things are
HUGE. That pic-up actually came from the Kodiak line of trucks.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_KodiakUnless someone have the thing and is willing to take a picture next to a cab, this image will do:

And just to be sure, have that same goddamn picture you probably saw 1000 times and probably forgot.

Yeah, in robot mode, Ironhide should be shorter, but the vehicle mode is perfectly in scale.
Anyway, being perfectly in scale from all angles in the Transformers universe is somewhat impossible.

Wait what? That blueish gray is not THAT blue. o_O

He's good... but does have some flaws. Mainly the fact his head can't turn and his arms feel too... in back. Other than that, I like him.

A great figure! The head can turn, you just have to give it a good twist to break the glue. The blue on the legs looks better in person than in photos. Scale works well with HA figures. All in all, this is the best Ironhide figure to date and one of the best of the DOTM line.

Please don't do that. If you do, you may break the electronics of the head and the mouthpiece.

The '07 Voyager Ironhide mold is actually the closest to proper scale with Leader OP. The current Voyager is a little too small. The Leader mold is just too big though. There is no two ways about this.
I went ahead and grabbed the Leader and I am really happy with him. I do thing the transformation is a bit too simple, but both modes and solid. The gimmicks are actually really good especiallt the weapons storage on the figure. Neat stuff, man.

Too kibbly and not screen accurate enough for a leader. He wears a giant folded up truck backpack in robot mode, he drags a robot on the street under him in truck mode, and his robot proportions are way off, let alone being too big (if you care about scale). It seems the best thing he's got going for him are that he's packed with cool weapon features. That's it. The DotM voyager mold is far superior in accuracy, though his chest doesn't stay together very well (though neither did the original voyager's)

It's a decent figure. Still think the first voyager is probably the best mold...actually if they painted recon Ironhide in normal colors, that would probably be my preference. But nonetheless, I'll probably use the leader in my display w/ the HA figs if I have the space for a movie display when I get a toy room again when we move into our new house at the end of the month.

I did, and so have others, with no problem. My purpose was to remove the mouthplate anyway. The only problem is that the head will slide off rather easily if you play around with it.

Its one of my favorites.i dont care about scale..Hes just ridiculously fun to play with..hidden weapons, lights and sounds, you can make his mouth move when he talks,a crazy pop out chest cannon that lights up and spins.and oh yeah!he has a KNIFE!i dont even know why a bot would need a knife..but he has one.just in case.sure he could be more articulated, but really he doesnt need articulation.he has a knife.
