It's exactly what the description says.

Animated just didn't continue.

Huh, well...Then here's to hoping that when TF Prime ends, animated will pick up! I Know I'm not the only one who misses it.

Yes, let's keep going back to old series. Is it too much to ask for this franchise to move FORWARD with something new and fresh?

not a big fan of Animated, but it would've been cool to see that in the toyline :P

The Megatron's might been able to balance out all the bloody Optimus Prime's in that line then!

The specific toy design may not be seen in the future, but I'd love to see that transform scheme be used for a cybertron mode Blitzwing, Classics style or any other style.

...yes?

What's really sad is when they try something new and fresh, most people don't want to give it a chance. Animated is a prime example. But when something ends and people liked it and want it back they get told they need to try whatever new thing is coming.

No one ever seems to ever be or allowed to be happy with what's out now.

I believe it was called "marauder" megatron. It was planned for season 4, along with powermaster prime and sentinal (who also got prototypes seen in the allspark almaniac) ;)

THIS A Thousand Times THIS
TF Prime is Excellent! Fantastic! Amazing! But to continue Animated, would that be such a bad thing? All the un used characters and every single new character could get toys, and all the old ones could be re-done or re-released. We could get animated Jetwing prime and Hydrodrive Bumblebee and the like, and so forth. The story would continue on after the Stunticon job. Would that be so hard by Hasbro Standards? Or, next best thing: Release them all as Graphic novels or comics! The world is open for animated, they just wont capitalize it! I like the next biggest thing, I always do, But why can't I enjoy older things? Or like in the case of this guy and the Hot Shot Prototype, things that never got made....

meh, give me a series where Prime and Megatron (and the current crop of main eventers) aren't the central characters.

Do something REALLY different instead of a different take on G1 each time.

Yea that makes a ton of sense.

Make a show where the single most popular TF and the iconic bad guy aren't the main characters.

Hasbro give this man a job.

Just let me sell my stock first.

What's that I hear? Is it the sound of someone sitting comfortably repeating things again and again until it reaches the point where their market share has all but evaporated because something more innovative has come along?

It would be kinda cool if those 3rd party toy companies. do a toy based off that season 4 animated maruader megatron leader sized TF toy.

I suspose it would be equally cool if those 3rd party toy companies took those 4 cancelled titanium 6 inch TF toy proto type pics or art designs & made toys out of them.

Wasn't there one coming out that was similar to WWI Grimlock?

I might have been DREAMING but I could have sworn I read something on the internet around the 2011 june/july month. regarding derrick wyatt's secret animated project he was working on for Hasbro. I & others guessed that derrick wyatt was working on a season 4 & 5 animated cartoon series that was going to be airing on the Hub network. I was kinda hoping that if this happened we'd get a few animated season 4 & 5 toys out of it in various toy sizes like deluxe, voyager & leader sizes.

While that's a cool idea (I'd love it) I do believe that Hasbro will stick to their formula. I guess 1986 was a scary year for Hasbro.

Yeah it seems like when Hasbro's got it's mind made up,their really stuburn about it. they don't budge.

Honestly the only way veteran TF fans get their TF wish list filled. is when Takara goes ROGUE & does TF stuff on their own. like those masterpiece TF toys & other TF side projects they do from time to time.

Come to think about it, Takara is the more experimental party. In terms of toys and show ideas.

-edit-

Hasbro does listen to older fans and fill our lists. Look at CHURUG (we need a better word for this, people). Takara is just more diverse, models, 'candy' toys, crossovers, kits and so on...

I think one of the best "experiments" in recent years that Takara have done were the Trans-Scanning Prime and Bumblebee. I would have liked to have seen more along those lines.

ugh ... i've been unpacking my collection and while I grew up with G1 ... the central characters have been rehashed in the CHURUG styled lines way too many times.

Yes, let's. It was the best series since Beast Wars. Ended way too soon.
