It looks like the mystery surrounding the Transformers Dark of the Moon Voyager Shockwave repaint featuring translucent cannon has been solved. The figure is part of a Costco exclusive two-pack along with Voyager Optimus Prime. This version is dubbed Shockwave with Cyber Metal Armor, while Optimus Prime does not appear to have any changes. The set was found at Canadian retail by TFW2005 member sideswipe88. The set is priced at $33.99 Canadian.

Shockwave with Cyber Metal Armor bio:

OPTIMUS PRIME AND SHOCKWAVE HAVE FOUGHT ONLY RARELY, AND IT HAS ALWAYS ENDED WITH BOTH ROBOTS BADLY DAMAGED. SHOCK KNOWS THAT HE CANNOT MATCH OPTIMUS PRIME IN SHEER FIREPOWER, SO HE USES HIS WITS TO BATTLE THE AUTOBOT LEADER.

GGRRR... this had to be with the one Optimus Prime toy that I regret already owning. I was going to turn it into a movie Motormaster to make me feel better about buying it, but now it looks like I might be stuck with another one if I want to get the Shockwave repaint... I guess I will skip this so I can afford TFC Hercules.

Is this the Shockwave that we though was going to look more like G1 colors? 'Cause it doesn't.

I dont know if it is sad or fortunate that the best Optimus Prime figure from the DOTM line came in the form of the Wal Mart exclusive deluxe (looks great with voyager Megs btw). Fortunate that it saves me money... unfortunate because i really wanted a Prime with a trailer (guess my cyberverse one will have to do).

But I am gonna keep saying this:

NEED - Leaderclass Blackout
NEED - Voyager Bonecrusher
NEED - Decent Jetfire figure
NEED - HA Soundwave
NEED - HA Topspin
NEED - Leaderclass Ratchet
NEED - A BIGGER Devastator that can do all 3 modes (7 or 8 robots if possible)
NEED - HA Mirage
NEED - HA Sideways
NEED - HA Wheeljack
NEED - HA Jolt

Hasbro please stop making us Transformers like movieverse Spacecase and the entire HA Basics line (who werent even in the movie) in favor of these others. Thank you.

Hell no! Already have that Prime and that Shockwave doesn't look good to me.

What makes matters better is that I don't have a Costco's in my city

Silver Accents: Check.

Looks Pretty close to me.

Yeah, and with the cannon trick, you can have a pretty close to perfect G1 Standin for yor classics, if this design pleases you that is....

I think Spacecase is awesome, but on everything else I feel the same.

For those of you who want this set (all two of you) and don't have a Costco membership, I highly recommend signing up for Costco. At $50 a year, it will pay for itself.

For example: I have two cats and am allergic to them both, so I take the Costco brand generic of Claratin. The 30-day supply of name-brand Claratin at your supermarket - $20. The 365-daysupply of the Claratin generic by Costco - $10. That is not a typo.

Plus, signing up will beat whatever price you will pay in the aftermarket.

Did this ever show up at Costco stores in the US? I don't see any on eBay and last I checked, my local Costco near Chicago didn't have these in yet.

I think this is supposed to be a non USA Costco exclusive judging by the multilingual packaging and the fact it actually showed up at my Costco down here.

Its been there for a month now I think.

Heh, glad I bought my Shockwaves when I did...I actually paid less for them than this and the other previous store exclusive set cost. And let's not get into the eBay prices for the sets.

Sorry, due to my job I shif from Houston to Mexico City. I'm currently in Mexico City, and that's where I saw the two pack. Not Houston.
