The Galleries of Seibertron continue the Star Wars Transformers crossover series. Up for your consideration today we have the first wave of Class I figures. These diminutive transformable versions of your favorite Star Wars characters are now available in a smaller size. These guys clock in at about Cyberverse Commander size and include General Grievous (Grievous Starfighter), Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi Starfighter) and Anakin Skywalker (Jedi Starfighter). I like these little guys. I saw them at TRU last night and I was REALLY tempted to buy all three. The thing that stopped me from buying them was the price: $9.99 each. They should be no more than $7.99. I may still break down and get them. It's ironic that these smaller figures are so much better-looking than the larger SW TFs.

Well, At least General Grieves can see were he's flying....

I like the comparison shots with the SW Vader figure. It gives a nice sense of scale.

A couple comparison shots with legends class TFs would be awesome too.

Kids dont want these. They end up in TJ Maxx and Marshalls along with Iron Man crossovers. But they are great for kitbashers.

I know what you mean, and just watch, hasblow will eventually release Marvel Crossovers in this size as well, wich BTW, are kinda better than the Starwars ones, so I might bite....

Hit them up at Wal-Mart or Target. The price is around $7.99 I believe. TRU is usually more expensive on most things.

As much as I love Toys R Us, these Class I figures are overpriced there. You're right that they should only be $7.99, which is how much they are at Target and Walmart.

I disagree. These things are selling like hotcakes at the stores around me. The Target closest to me probably had two or three cases of these out originally (there are 12 to a case). When I first saw them I thought "holy pegsitters!" Fast forward a few weeks later and every single one of them is gone. The Walmart closest to me had a full 3 cases out and their stock is slowly disappearing as well. People are definitely buying these things!

Has anyone seen the Class I Wave 2 toys yet?

If these are actually selling somewhere, kudos for those that want them. SWTFs warm shelves in my area, always have.

These shots just tell me theres now two sizes of these guys for me to ignore, unfortunately.

i picked up grievous last week and its not worth $8, the alt mode is good very detailed but robot mode is bad. Has balancing issues your lucky if you can get him to stand for more than a minute, the way they did the arms just makes it look stupid, you can see to much of the robot mode in alt mode, you would think by now habro would know how to do crossovers. From looking at the pictures the other 2 look better but still not worth $8. Its a great idea but bad execution on hasbro part. Well maybe not since these things are selling like they're made out of gold, goddamn kids.

EDIT: also does anyone know what the hell the flap on the chest is for? i Noticed that all of them have it. On gievous it does nothing, it just opens. Its not landing gear because it makes the vehicle wobble when down.

My sister (the Star Wars fan of the family ) has already bought the Obi-Wan Kenobi .I like the smaller size easier to display ,and easier to teach your sister how to Transform it .She still won't get it

While not my thing, I love how we are getting galleries of some of the more unusual merch under the Transformers banner.

I guess it's a regional thing. Dont get me wrong I love star wars. But I dont like mixing the 2 together. Down here in Miami these things sit on every wal-mart shelf and the older ones quickly end up in the discount chains.

Wow...so looks like we're getting to see a possible design for Scourge that didn't make the cut with Ob-1

I bought Anakin and Obi-wan at Walmart, $7.99 each.

They're neat figures, but have several flaws:

In vehicle mode, they don't really sit level, so you'd need some sort of stand if you really wanted to display them.

In bot mode, they have trouble standing up. Anakin has no heels, and Obi-Wans feet are not flat on the bottom.

Anakin's arms are almost impossible to pose in any natural way due to the limited articulation. Obi-wan's are a little better.

There are few positives, however:

They're cool to look at. Nice paint jobs with lots of small details. I like the little R2 head sticking up out of the vehicles. The little light sabers are well-made and nicely painted. And the simple transformations make them perfect for fiddling with at your desk when you're "working" or during commercial breaks while watching TV.

If I had it to do over again, I'd probably pass on Anakin but I'd still buy Obi-wan.
