Childs play. Please share your transformer stories!!!

I just thought Id share this story. I remembered it when I saw a pic of the white prime figure a bit ago.
I had just gotten the original ultra magnus toy that had the white prime with it. I remember being so glad to have a set of hands for my prime as the hands for my original red Prime were long gone.
I had recently seen the return of prime toon where he is coated with the alloy that turnes him white and I was sure that was why they made the new toy white.(I know better now) Any way, a favorite theme for me to act out durring my play time was to mimic the transformers animated movie and throw in pieces of "the return of prime" and the epp where prime was a zombie. I would have a war, prime and megs would die, galv would be born, autobots having gotten owned by Galv and co would resurect prime after traveling to the autograve yard and prime owns the previously invincible galvatron.
So, I had always used an upside down shoe box to place my prime figure on top of and that would be his burial chamber. One day I got the bright idea to put this box with prime on it into the microwave. My idea was that when I turned on the microwave it would light up, prime would rotate a few times, my other figures, stratigically placed facing the microwave would look as if they were viewing the body through the plastic and that would be an awsome burial chamber. I was aware that if I kept him in to long he would most likely take dammage, so I thought two or three revolutions and he would be removed by the autobots and revived.
So, I set up my autobots arount the ol microwave like they were lookinbg at primes burial chamber and prime goes in with the shoe box. Now remember that although the white prime was newer and mostly plastic, he still had a metal chest piece. So when I turned on the microwave to simulate the turning burial chamber I saw electric blue waves surround the metal piece on primes chest. For an instant I thought "whooooa!! AWESOME!!!" But then the thought of a bran new blown up prime and a matching blown up micro wave scared me into turning off the micro wave shy of my three revolutions. I continued to play however pretending that the blue energy waves brought prime back to life.
Incidentaly, I got up the nerve to try it one more time a few days or so later and for whatever reason, no blue waves. That was the last time I used my microwave for the autobot moseluem.
Thats it. Just thought Id share that.

I wanna hear some of you other members stories about play time. Did anyone else stage elaborate battle grounds and act uot carefully planned storylines? What were some of your best? Lets hear em guys n gals!!!

you sir, are a frightening individual! :BOOM:
 ok, but as kids, we have all done SOMETHING along these lines! so why not share?
As a child, I had a frightening relationship with the dead, believe me. Anyhow, we used to play with Sigma Six GI Joe Drones and my Transformers in "Jungle missions" In our front yard, I use to turn on the hose and then wed be in a marsh! go into the backyard, and there was the desert. To be a kid again...

Ya know what I used to hate? Your in the heat of battle. Prowl is heavily out gunned by screamer, cracker and skywarp. Iron hide has just been taken out and prowl must retreat. Theres absolutely no time to waste!! So you do the "cho cho chu chu chi" sound to mimic the transformation sound, only your stuck there still transforming the bot. You do it again.. "cho cho chu chu chi" still not a car yet..... DAMN IT!! "cho cho chu chu chi" Finally after one full minute and numerous transformation sounds prowl is a car and can escape!!! "Eat my dust seekers YAAAAHOOO!!!!!!
Problem is when he gets where hes going he must become a bot again.......SIGH....."cho cho chu chu chi" :P

When I was a kid I had TFs found at stores, Garage Sales and even one or two given/purchased from friends. needless to say it was an interesting assortment, spanning all the way from G1 to Beast Wars (the latest series at the time). Not happy seeing my TFs fighting one another, I instead paired them up against most of my other toys, which was an even more diverse set of at least one thing from most lines conceivable then.

They were called the Autocons, an alliance of Autobots and Decepticons, lead by Powermaster Prime and G1 Galvatron. They formed their alliance to fight Bones and his Minions; Bones being that 12-inch Power Rangers monster. Bones and his Generals (the 6 original 12-inch Power Rangers) would constantly come up with new (to my 8-year old brain anyways) ways to destroy the Autocons, which usually involve throwing his entire army (my toy box) against my transformers.

Battle areas differed over the years from my room, to the living room (once while parents were out), to the basement, various maguffins were employed by both factions, and sometimes lego people were caught in the crossfire or allied with other sides. Usually it played out with me reaching in and grabbing a handful of various Minions and a couple Autocons and see how things would play out. Bones would always escape and his Generals would every now and then escape with him.

Oh fun times those were...

The two posts above me are totally awesome.

I don't have much to share, except that my favorite scenario is simply:

All the good guys I have VS All the bad guys I have, each faction mixed together from various toylines.

Well not transformers, but I remember I had a secret wars captain america. I froze him, and then microwaved him. He....didn't survive.

That's odd, he survived when they did it in the movies...

Yes. I had the perfect energon cubes. My baby sister had some generic blocks that were hollow and pink. They were made so thin that you cold sorta see through em thus making them excelent to use for energon cubes and the cons stock piled them.
My decepticons were not to be trifeled with. I never had the autobots own them. Every time the two sides met in combat it was an all out kill or be killed fight for their lifes. I made my autobots fully aware that they had no room to spill out a whitty anticdote or two. I loved the decepticons and still do.
More stories folks!!! I cant believe the low number of members that have looked at this post. I thought it was a fun idea and expected it to be packed with stories by now. All well....

Because of my low amount of Decepticons on my G1 collection shelf, the Autobots have always been victorious.

Okay, this is when I didn't have Long Haul. The only 'con I had was Scavenger. He's going all wreckicon on a "city." BAM! the Autobots roll in. Prime, Ratchet, Windcharger, Outback, and G2 Bumblebee (I didn't have Ironhide either). Optimus Prime makes his speech about standing down. Scavenger prepares the attacks. Scavenger of course takes out Bee first, since he's horribly unstable. Ratchet sets up his whole medical bay and begins repairs. Optimus is setting up his base while Outback is making some distractions. Shooting at the Constructicon, Windcharger escapes before he gets hurt. Optimus Prime is finished setting up his trailer and shoots a missile at Scavenger. I guess the spring wasn't doing too good that day: Scavenger did not fall over. He whooped Outback in the ass with his scooperbutt. Optimus Prime remains. Scavenger tears apart Prime's little battle station and pushes him on top of Ratchet's bay. Ratchet must run to safety!

Ratchet calls for back-up. Here comes some Throttlebot Trouble! Chase and Searchlight zip in and knock Scavenger on his butt. The duo transform into their brick modes and begin talking with one another. Scavenger reaches for Outback's gun and shoots both of them down, G1 Movie style! The throttlebots are dead, and Ratchet's out for luck. Windcharger is nowhere to be found and Scavenger's still beating the city up.

Slag! Literally! Slag to the rescue! He comes in and knocks Scavenger off the table. Battle over. Slag and Ratchet repair the injured Autobots and Windcharger returns from his summer vacation >_<

That's all I have to share...

made a tub full of electrum with alot of water and food coloring when my mom wasnt home.

staged my battle just like the cartoon and then made the mistake of dunking omega into the electrum just like the story and for a few seconds it was going ok. until the "electrum" soaked all his electronics and he slowly came to a slow painful stop.

literally death by electrucution

i laugh now but man did that suck.and to think iv'e yet to replace him

no regrets though those were good times. 8-}

:APPLAUSE: Verry nice stories. I was lucky in that I always hade a good auto to con ratio. Dont worry about not having ironhide man. One of my top five Disappointing moments was the day I got ironhide. He isnt even a proper robot! Im still not sure what the hell they were going for with him.
To be sure, many a toy I have submerged into water only to be devastated when something goes terribly wrong with them. Alot of toys had delayed bad reactions to water. That is to say you could get them wet and they would apear to be alright, so you continue to get them wet only to find that the continued interduction of water into their cracks n crevices had caused something to become damaged.
I hated how my masters of the universe figures would get dry rot on the ruberbands that hold their legs together if you took them into the tub or put them into water. I had like twelve figures loose their lower limbs around the same time to dry rot.
I learned afterwards that motu figs didnt go into the water anymore.
Come on guys Lets hear some more!!!! I know ya got em, so lets hear em!!!!
:D

Back in 2007 when i was still collecting lego, almost my whole class was talking about TFs... Well i also heard of it at that time, but dint really give a damn to it... So finally i went to watch the 2007 movie, with NO background knowledge on anything about TFs, except that jazz dies (I dint know who was jazz either  ) ... The movie was great, and there was a TRU beside it... so naturally i went in and bout some TFs

I wanted BB/baricade/ or brawl, but they were all sold out ... so i setted for dreadwing and a ledgends blackout. A week later i found BB at a collector's shop at a mall.

Back then my basis of buying a TF was "shoots missile" As thats what i did with BB and dreadwing, and later Leader prime.

*Oh, and after about a year of patronising that collector's shop, i realised it was ripping me off ... stuff was and IS still overpriced. ;) *

Another thing my friends do when the comeover to my house is to shoot down all the tfs on my shelf with the nerf vulcan ... Leaving me to re-arrange it after they're gone >:(

Good stuff gavin. :) Im glad you liked the movie and decided to support the line. Have you ever seen any of the original toons? Transformers the animated movie? If you havnt seen any you must try to. Also (and this is very important IMO) you must watch a few of the G1 toons pre toon movie before watching the toon movie. Then you must watch a few post toon movie toons.
I guess I could have just said you need to watch them in order yeah? DUH Scott.
If you dont mind my asking gavin, How old are you? I only ask because you said you had no prior knowladge of TF before watching the movie. Also because I thought all our members were older folks who grew up in the eighties. I would be glad to know that there are plenty of members who are younger.

Nope. We've got some people that joined during beast wars, the unicron trilogy and even hell onwards! I was a Unicron Trilogy spawner :D

ugh...okay, I've got another story. Did this recently

It's 1989, and there are reports of potential explosive Energon in a cave. Optimus Prime summons Ironhide, Ratchet, Windcharger, and Outback to come with him on the mission. In this period of time all 1984-1986 Autobots are able to interact with each other (they came to Earth already). But the Constructicons have sent Scavenger and Long Haul to trap the 5 Autobots inside. When the Autobots are inside, the duo blows the front door :D

Optimus, Ironhide, Ratchet, Outback, and Windcharger must find their way out, but Long Haul nails Ironhide in the chest. Ratchet must stay behind for repairs. The Final Three go on ahead. Soon enough they find an exit above their heads. When Windcharger flies up to escape, he gets shot through his chest, and was killed. Optimus Prime and Outback transform into their vehicle modes and roll out!

Long Haul and Scavenger get in the ways. Outback vs. Scavenger and Optimus Prime vs. Long Haul. Something epic happens: Outback slices Long Haul's damn head off, flips backwards, and kicks Scavenger straight up his ass. Oh!!!

Ratchet and Ironhide catch up and are ground bridged back by Bumblebee. Windcharger don't get no attention :-(

As for the energon: phony

Good stuff!! I also liked to make believe that there were alot of autobot casualties. I would sometimes have to do their death scene over a few times to get it perfect. Yeah. Transformers the animated movie introduced me to death and kinda screwed me up a bit, but Im o.k. now. LOL!!!!!!

I used to do "episodes" with mine- planning out long storylines and character arcs ahead of time (which is probably why I like writing so much now) My Dad and I would play with the Playmates Star Trek toys (I had a ton from all the different series') I was also big into GI JOE but BEAST WARS was it for me. I would play out these episodes and have a blast doing it. I remember I used a really big Silver Surfer action figure as like some kind of advanced alien being that captured the Maximals and Predacons best warriors and had them face each other in combat. His point was to basically show them that peace was the only way each could coexist. It was pretty deep stuff for a 11/12 year old I might say. I did stuff like that all the time. I even once had an all out old school war on a "battlefield" between Maximals and Predacons. It was pretty cool. Yeah, those were the days...

Well when I was little I would have tf battles in my basement. I would have dad's work bench as con base, have my moms small craft room as a bot base, use some storage shelves as a base for unicrons team, and use a tmnt ship for some of my deluxe class tfs.

I would start things out by having the arc crash in the desert, my pool table, and things would get crazy from there on. Unicron capures prime and turns him into nemisis prime to lead his army. Then I'd do some filler stuff like having them race. For the final battle it was cons&bots against unicron. After unicorn dies there would only be one bot and con still alive.

I think I'll have to do this some time again, I kind of miss not doing it. Plus I'll be able to add my gens and movie figs so next weekend I think I might do this.

Ha! I frequently had only one, or two bots left standing after the carnage was over as well. Mostly because I wanted to convey that at least in my world cons were every bit as tough and courage filled as the autobots if not more so. It was always through greed, betrayal or overzealousness that the cons basically defeated themselves in the end. It was never due to being out thunk, out muscled, out skilled or generaly outclassed by the autobots. That was how I did things anyway.
