Kre-O's

Now then i looked at Kre-o's when they came out and i wasn't too bothered, however i managed to pick up Megs and sentinal the other day for £40 together and me and my lass put megs into truck mode monday night.

These guys are amazing, it was so much fun clicking him together, and we've agreed to make sentinal's truck mode before we pull megs apart and make him into his robot form.

Just been having a look around and there seems to be some really good deals on these guys atm, for instance i can get prime for £50, and starscream for £20, ratchet for £15 from Toyrus in sheffield. And nearly all the others from Tesco's with at least a 30% discount over the toysru costs (ive sat and checked and only 3 are cheaper at toysrus)

Now the question is should I buy them?, sounds silly asking a bunch of strangers, i like these, but i also know i have an addictive personality. need some pro's and cons

Cons
in the end they are pieces of plastic with no real long term use
Cost (affordable but still expensive, though about the same as lego)
no long term value compared to cost.

Pro's
Fun & entertainment
Both me and my other half like them
Theyr'e transformers!
*IF i ever have kids its a good place to start them off on transformers :P*

Now bearing in mind i'd probably end up buying all of these do we know if there are any more planned in the future? or is this wave it?

Do you think these will be cheaper nearer to christmas?

Should i pass the opportunity up of getting these all at 25% to 40% of current retail? Or put them down so i don't start buying them all again ( as i did with PPC 2 packs, and DOTM Mechtech deleuxes, or G1 combiners ect ect ect)

Give me some idea's if possible guys? is this going to be a continuing set or just a splash release atm?

If cost is an issue for you (long term value and price), stop collecting TF's. Same up money or buy stocks and bonds. It's a far more solid plan then plastic.

aye already doing that with stocks and shares, as well as TF's, but quite like Kre-o's

I guess i'm asking does anyone know if this is going to be an ongoing product for Hasbro, or just a splash release never to be followed up again?

I know it's better than plastic, but, but, those stock and bond markets are just s#$! now. I rather just put them in my retirements.

Back to topic.

Aren't Kre-O's cheaper than Lego? I believe they are if you compare the total pieces. And they may go on sale more often than Lego does. Or is this just the US thing?

They are awesome especially if you mix them with Lego to get more custom parts. I really think they should keep going but slowly in characters, not mass production like this one time deal.

They are costed around the same price as lego in the UK.

With the discounts (25%-35%) i can find they are a good deal atm.

Bear in mind that hasbro hasn't quite worked out currency conversion, so what costs you folks USD 20.00 costs us brits GBP 20.00 (which works out to around USD 30.00-35.00)
