Unexpected good deals on TF purchases?

Just today, I went by Wal-Mart and picked up the Optimus Prime/Comettor value pack.
Naturaly, it's already a pretty good deal, seeing as you're paying ~$20 for something that woudl normally cost ~$35 at non-Wal-Mart prices.

But when it rung up, the price came to only $13! Sure, the boxes on the shelves where dinged up a little bit, but not by much. There where no apparent markdowns either. Maybe they had been put on clearance and needed to be moved to the clearance shelf.

I actually didn't notice the price difference until I looked at my receipt.
(I was also buying a gift for a relative, so I didn't notice that the prices didn't add up at first)

Whatever the reason, I got a great deal and it caught me completely by surprise.
Has this ever happened to anyone else here?

I love it when that happens.Sadly though the only time something like this ever happened to me was when the generations figs first came out. I scooped up thunderwing and cliffjumper for what I thought was their price of 9.88 but when they were scanned they came up to 7.88( old school universe prices)

Wal mart does tend to use 13 as a markdown price for most larger figures..I never even saw that 2 pack LOL...

When the Walmart Supertuner Throwdown set on clearance for $15 or so, it rang up for 11.

I got DOTM Human Alliance roadbuster for about $18, after a coupon and my 5% Redcard discount. And a couple years ago I found a HA Bumblebee in a torn-up box for $15, and the Customer Service desk marked it down to 11.

Was ecstatic to see Treadbolt at a Zellers since I had yet to get the Classics Jetfire mold. Took it to the cashier and happened to be over 50% iff at the store for a nice $13.50 CDN purchase.

judging by the full bio on the back, it was an american version

You must be Dutch: the Intertoys have stocked up on US overstock of HtfD, and like the Canadian overstock before that, are selling them for half regular retail. I'm looking for Tomahawk myself, but can't find that little bugger! :BOOM:

I picked up RTS/Generations Wreck Gar today for $6.99 today. He was hidden behind some random crap toys on the shelf. I set him down in front of me to look at HFTD Leader Prime and some kid tried to grab it from me. I was like, "Wreck Gar is mine kid".

Side note, how is HFTD leader prime?

Ho man, it does happen every now and then. I remember finding a Universe Inferno months after I gave up hope of buying it at retail price, well thing is that when I went to the cashier, the price for it was a little below deluxe class... I even asked "are you sure?".
A week later I saw a Universe TreadBolt in a shelf at the mall and when I asked how much for it, the price was also a little below deluxe class, it was a discount store!

I have found some crazy good deals on Craigs List and at a Garage Sale last yeat.

I paid 25 dollars for a box of G1 Transformers. I got quite a few broken G1's and Parts. But I also got a mostly complete G1 Scorponok, a mostly complete G2 Devestator. I also got a bunch of complete headmasters like Ape Face and Wierd Wolf and a few others. I kept the G2 Devestator and a Soundwave with a bunch of tapes. I sold the rest on Ebay and made over 900 dollars and paid for a lot of my trip to Star Wars Celebration 5. Sort of wish I kept the Scorponok, but I had a blast going to Star Wars Celebration. This was probably a once in a lifetime score, but needless to say it was a lot of fun going through the huge box and putting everything together.

Never. :-( When the tag says $27.90 for a deluxe, they mean it, even if its still TFA.

Once i found a recon ravage in TRU during the post-ROTF clearance, deluxe were $16 ... so i grabbed ravage, only to realize it $29.90 instead at the cashier  Found one though, few months later for $19 at another departmental store.
