Movie Deluxe Bumblebee is destroying me.

I cannot get him back in his alt mode. As soon as I get to the very end, I cannot get the front end of the car to reconnect. This stupid automorph stuff is killing me. Any help?

Lolz it is easy and simple you are just not doing it right. Tuck his head in the socket right then just lift the front of the car and it reconnects... lolz simple and plain.

No don't I have him as well... it is really simple just sort of loosen the front up a bit then use some force... nothing is impossible if you do it right!!

Still even weeks later all I see are the BIG tab versions in stores. I have only seen one with both little tabs. I can't imagine why these weren't recalled?

Quickly.

Chop chop.

(but yea, it's busted. You broke a transformer. For shame.)

Whoa. Can I actually return it? Because that'd be awesome because I hate this figure.

It is for this reason I'm totally avoiding the '78 camaro Bumblebee. Not only does he look terrible, but he breaks.

I'm waiting for the 2008 Camaro version. Looks much better.

Quality! Your Transformers dollars at work!

Whoa. Can I actually return it? Because that'd be awesome because I hate this figure.

Depending on where you bought it of course.
If it was a bigger store, you're probably ok for a refund with no receipt.

Stress that it's a known defect and that you DON'T want to simply exchange it.

If you can't return it and you still hate it, you could use it as a practice dummy for future kitbashing exercises.

I had this exact same problem, as well. It took my son all of one minute to break the tiny tab. Target had no problem letting me exchange it for a new one.

I wonder if some polystyrene model glue and random tabs of plastic laying around (like the excess plastic left from models) would easily fix all these broken Bumblebees sitting in sucker's toy chests.

If KB Toys doesn't take him back, he shall enter the microwave like so many G.I. Joes before him.

You know what? Played backwards, the lyrics are 'Hey! It's fun ta smoke marijuana!'

Or pretty much the same. I can't remember the actual words, but that's pretty much it. :-?

Like the Mogwai, maybe you are just not ready to care for the Bumblebee. :D

Um, how about just leaving it in bot mode? I display all my non-Alternator TFs in bot mode, so its not a big deal to me. You may do things differently, but if I had a choice between microwave/trash/whatever and simply leaving it in bot mode, I'd choose bot mode every time. Granted, it does suck that this break basically makes this a glorified Actionmaster... but it still looks good displayed in bot mode.

there's absolutely NONE of the 'good' bumblebees here in houston, so i wrote to hasbro's customer support and asked if they'd take back my broken bumblebee and replace it with one that works properly. i got a pre-paid mailing slip in the mail three days later. bumblebroke's goin' back!

i'd reccomend this course of action for anyone who's had the same problem. sure, now i get to wait 3-6 weeks, but..... i mean, its bumblebee. yes, there'll be a proper '08 version but the classic camarro version comes pre-dirtied! :-p

It takes some gentle "jummy-ing" to get it to stick right. You don't just slam it shut. Fold in the doors and arms, along with the front wheels, then allign the front, and it should snap in place.

Some folks also complain about BB's missiles just swinging around. Those who have this happen did not snap in the wheels/shoulders all the way in. There are little tabs on top that the inside of the wheels seem to fit into, and it keeps the wheels from spinning around, and the missiles stay in place.

Just have patience with the front. It ain't broke. It just needs to be gently persuaded into place, and in order to do that, the other pieces have to be in place first.

I don't care for the "automorph" on the Deluxe models. They work better on the Voyager ones. I still like BB. He's great with G1, Goldbug, Classics, and the soon to be released '08 Camaro. :)

With mine it does not always connect when returning the chest into a car hood. But if you kind of jiggle the automorph button it will lock into place with a click. Kinda like setting the safety on a gun lol

Hope this helps.
