there are some deep pocket collectors out there. but fort max is on the top of the list for highly sought after G1 transformers. considering that package is MIB......the ending bid will be pretty hefty. i quit bidding on him YEARS ago lol. luckily i found brave max for 50 bucks.....
edit: just read the description...he says "electronics work!" i didnt know fort max had any electronics....

That price seems about right for a Fort max in that condition. That box is in great shape, and the toy looks nice, too. Sometimes he'll top out around $1200, so I'd say the auction winner got himself a good deal.
EDIT: I just realized this auction isn't finished yet! Yeah, this could easily hit $1200.

I just bought a complete Ft Max in great shape (no box) for $750.00, picking him up today as a matter of fact.

I don't understand the mass appeal of this figure. It's big...big deal. I could find better things to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on...

If there's something better than Fort Max to spend hundreds of dollars on, I haven't found it yet.

Visiting Amsterdam (as well as the greater Netherlands, beautiful country!), medicine, and being selfless are all great things, but are they truly better than Fort Max?
No, I don't think so.

You, sir, are correct. Fort Max is definitely more satisfying than stuff you can more easily attain. And that price is about right, especially in that condition.

No thanks,it's not worth that price. for starters the box is thrashed & below C-6 condition. the toy has all it's stickers applied. the foam looks like it's below C-7 condition.
Personally I've owned 2 of this mold. the 1987 fort max bought brand new in 1987 at toys r us. and the car robots brave max brought brand new at image anime in 2001. Both times I sold the toy because I viewed it as the ultimate toddler play set & not a older kid teenager/adult transformers toy.

1200$ Is nothing. I saw one that ended at over 3000$. It was complete, came with the box and everything.
But I would buy a fortmax only if I became super rich. For that money, I have too many bills to pay.

1200 in the box is about going rate.
Mine cost 750 for an almost flawless version complete with one broken clip on one of the red ramps that slide.
Damn awesome toy, but any version will cost u unless u get really lucky

Been to Amsterdam. Don't do strip clubs, I've seen the type of women who generally are on show. DO NOT WANT. Wife gets the shot for free from the military, so no need to spend money on prophylactics. I don't do drugs, so useless suggestion. A meal for a Homeless person costs around $5. If you NEED that $5 for Fort Max, you probably shouldn't be buying it anyway. I have cake in the fridge and it was FREE thanks to my friend coming over and baking it for my birthday a couple days ago.
I could play this game all day.

Well... As someone who frequents the city of Amsterdam three times a week and basically has acces to everything you mention on your list... I'm still going to agree with It Is Him.

The end price seems about right for Fort Max in great condition. I wouldn't pay that price but I know there are plenty who would.

In 2001 I bought a complete MIB Fort Max for $550. Had to sell it 4 years later to avoid homelessness and starvation. Needless to say, he kept me in food and blankets for a while.
