BW 10th anniversary 2-pack Primal and Megatron.

I was just wondering if this set was rare at all or fairly common. I remember buying it at TRU in 2006 but I am not sure if it was an exclusive or not. I don't have the box. I have been going through my collection and decided I might sell them, but not sure if I should do it separately or as a set. Or is it even worth it to get rid of them? I have made the decision to collect only deluxe-sized toys, except maybe for very rare bigger ones, so I am not sure what to do with these 2. I used to like Beast Wars a lot, but when i decided to not buy the new DVD release this week, I realized I wouldn't miss the toys if they were gone. I checked eBay, and it seems there are lot more Megatrons than Primals for sale, is this because everyone wants to hold onto their Primals? I just don't know what to do about it right now. :? Any advice from Beast Wars junkies welcome. :P (Or, even if you're not one.)

I have the Megatron from that set as he's the most accurate one in my opinion, but for Primal (if size isn't an issue, which it isn't for me since all the Maximals from season one are much smaller than the season 1 Predacons), then Telemocha is the best/most accurate version.

As for the value of the set, you likely will make more selling them together, as I too usually see Megatron by himself for sale (which probably has something to do with the fact that the Optimus Primal mold is considered one of the best toys from the entire Beast Wars line, and what you have is that same mold, but in screen-accurate colors, making it a highly sought-after item, at least by some, though not by me for the reasons stated already).

I was actually just going through my storage yesterday and found that Primal so I have it in front of me. It is pretty sweet, definitely the penultimate Optimus Primal, so I say keep him. Megatron less so. The more accurate color scheme takes away from the mold more than it adds. I'd say keep 'em. Selling loose is always a crapshoot. You could get only $10. OP and Megs are a set so I wouldn't break them up but there's a reason why You see a lot more of Megatron than Primal.

I'd say keep them. Stick them somewhere out of the way because one day you'll want them again and it's better not to have to buy them again.

Yeah, that's my thinking as well. They don't take up that much room, and actually if I did sell either/or, it would be Primal. I actually like BW Megatron very much. But as I said, I'm downsizing, and the big stuff has to go. :(

I'm with you on that one, that mold of Megs is my fav and he's spot on to what he looked like in the show (short of a bit of black on his arm where he holds his tail, which I did up with a black Sharpie :P). It sucks that you have to sell them though. I'd recommend just looking at what they go for on ebay these days and set your minimum starting bid based on that (starting at a minimum of say half what they're going for in the "Buy it now" auctions).

I'd say keep them. They were a TRU exclusive, but they are just too cool.

I personally love the Telemocha SP-DX versions. That gorgeous silver paint and shiny ruby red paint make all the difference on Primal.
