25th Anniversary Unicron Sighted at Canadian Retail

Good news for Canadian fans, the 25th Anniversary Edition Unicron has been spotted at retail. It looks as though the figure is exclusive to Toys"R"Us rather than Costco. Cybertron.ca member malteselegacy found the Chaos Bringer and his buddy Kranix at an Ontario Toys"R"Us. Happy hunting!

is anyone else tired of TRU getting all the good exclusives? TRU shouldnt be allowed to carry exclusives until they bring their crap down to normal prices, they seem to charge 10% more than everyone else then another 20% or more more if its an exclusive.

$79.99 :-( I have to say I did NOT see this coming. I had really hoped it would come out at Costco. Not only would it have been cheaper, it would probably have been easier to find. Oh well, I suppose it's more worth it than MP Rodimus was for the same price... and is about as cheap as it'll likely get at this point.

Not the one near me. Sales on Transformers? Rare as all get out, at least sales worth mentioning. Usual "sales" at my TRU just marks prices down to Target or Walmart prices (which includes the buy one get one 50% off). So, really, sales don't exist. At least at my TRU.

Obviously that excludes the outdated "get them off our shelves NOW" toys (like the ROTF guys), but they're shelf warmers and no one gives a darn (they've seriously been there at their discounted price since DOTM came out and there's still a large pile). But sales on other figures... not so much.

My TRU just might suck at the deals thing :/

Nope. He's still an Amazon.com exclusive in the US. When an exclusive is released at a chain that has stores outside of the US, that release is limited to the US branch, but it may be released at a different chain entirely internationally.

And what does CND 80,00 translate to in USD?

Not true. We never got half of the waves that you guys got down south. I never saw Wheeljack, Kup, Scourge, Thundercracker on sale here in Toronto, and I luckily picked up the only Jazz, Tracks and Wreck Gar I saw at Walmart one fateful day. Sure we're thrown the odd bone, but trust me, you guys have it good.

Glad I was able to grab him on Amazon for $59.99 when I did. Also still have the Armada version MISB so I'm good on the chaos bringer. :BOT:

yeah my TRU is very great with the prices. and they have every new figure that would come out.
and as for the shelf warmers i think it is the store ordering too much of that product.
cause voyager prime i see everywhere, but the deluxe exlusive for walmart IS OVER STOCKED and piling up in large bins.

the store that sucks for me is Kmart. they still have a leader megatron from ROTF for FULL PRICE!!!!

figuring he'd be near 100 when he finally came out here in canada, i ordered this off the american amazon. i am surprised to see its only 79.99 because thats a damn good price considering. but i dont feel bad because i paid around 80 for mine all told and that included the extra 20ish dollars for the shipping and duty charges.

i did just check the canadian toys r us site for fun and they dont even list it so that person was indeed lucky.

Damn, I just got him off ebay at the beginning of the month. I lost hope of him coming here (and at Costco at that). About $114 accourding to my bank account, after shipping and conversion.

Just goes to show that I ought to have waited just a bit longer.

They could still show up at discount chains. Winners, London Drugs, and some grocery stores have all been getting the first RTS waves recently.

They never list toys right away on the website. IF they do at all, it's always quite awhile after they show up in stores. I don't think MP Rodimus was listed on the site at all, but I could be wrong.
