So, I'm just searching for confirmation to this: the first wave of Transformers Prime figures are not being released to major retailers (Walmart, Target, Kmart)?! Will they at least show up at Toys R Us? Or are they an online only thing?

someone in the BBTS thread mentioned they're being released in Canada's TRU, so one would imagine they'd be released in the USA's TRU's as well.

But I do agree, it'd be nice to have some sort of official confirmation and not a small website's claim on why you should pre-order from them.

They're making an appearance at major retailers in limited numbers this year.

This is just in terms of an initial release, though, right? These figures will all be readily available at retail at some point, won't they?

Yes, that's the general consensus that's been going around for the past few months.

I'm sure we'll see them in all major retail stores. I couldn't see a reason why they wouldn't....

I have no doubt that they'll eventually be in stores, my concern is WHEN?!?!?!?!? I love a bargain as much as the next guy, but I'm impatient! I want my cliff now!!

Let's all take a deep breath, relax, and just wait. They won't be that hard to find. No reason to start panicking, like the people who run out to the grocery store to stock up on bottled water because they're predicting two inches of snow.

I was one of those people. Except it was soda instead of water.

I'm personally not overly concerned either way as I'm not sure I even want to collect this line (they definitely look like impressive figures, but I don't really dig the movie meets animated aesthetics,) but I think it's a bit misleading that it's made to sound like you need to order these from the online retailers because they're not going to be available otherwise.
