I need advice on LC Prime and LC Ironhide alterations.

OK, I tried to check out the kitbash/customs forums to post this, but I couldn't really find a right place, so here it is.

I have both RoTF Leader Prime and HftD Battle Hooks Prime as well as DotM Leader Ironhide. All 3 of these are in robot mode and will stay that way. (I've been actually thinking about selling the Primes, but I doubt I'd get good prices for them.)

Anyway, what I need help with on all 3 of them is removing the arm panels. Is there an easy way to do this? To remove the pins in the hinges? Also, I want to remove the rear tires from Ironhide's legs.

Any suggestions from those of you well-practiced in alterations and mods?

Can't help you with the panel question, but if you're trying to get rid of the Prime figures, you could probably get retail or better for ROTF Prime. Unfortunately it doesn't go for ridiculous prices like the other movie leaders, though...probably because there are a few better import versions available.

Hopefully these two threads can help you. Generally you need to find the rough end, hammer it out from the other end and then the entire pin will slip out. Or if you really don't care putting the pin back, you can use jeweler saw to cut it.

In regards to nailing out the pin into a wooden block, you have to drill a hole into the block first so that the pin can have space to come out.
