The curse...

Iv'e brought upon myself the ultimate curse. with what little cash I had, I bought generations thundercracker.
Unlike me to dislike a figure (Any figure, accept a few) I opened him up. I connected his guns and boy did I love his solid jet mode! He's a perfect Transformer. Excellent paint apps and an awesome jet mode. see, from all the pictures Iv'e seen of the seekers, and years ago as a witless child I overlooked them (I Didn't know who they were, and I had armada starscream, skywarp, and thundercracker, so I didn't care!)
Still, lackluster. That is until I transformed him. So much creativity and just enough posabilty to be practically perfection! Now that I have my mitts on what feels like a true seeker, I want the others. All five others to be exact, and that's quite an investment! Have you seen what these guys go for? Especially skywarp! Thank you fansproject!
So to anyone who doesn't have a seeker yet, unless you have a massive lump some of cash to burn, don't go buying, cause you'll want them all! It's become my curse.
Don't let this happen to you...unless you can afford it.

I bought Acid Storm, Anime starscream,Thundercracker, Thrust, and Dirger all at retail.

I bought the Henkeis of Starscream and Ramjet when they first came out and a member on the boards hooked me up with Ultra Magnus and Skywarp before the prices went stupid.

Now I make sure I buy them at retail while I can cause Classics tends to go insane in the Aftermarket.

Hasbro, please give us Sunstorm.

To date, I have bought every single Classics style Seeker at retail - meaning I have eight of them. Both Starscreams, as well as Acid Storm. :D

I started with Universe Starscream, Ramjet and the UM/Skywarp set.
Sold them when I found out that Hasbro 'would never release the other Seekers at retail' due to the Botcon set; and I went Henkei all the way (all six Seekers + ghost SS + Acid Storm).
AND I bought Hasbro Thrust and Thundercracker.

I bought the first version on Starscream and I've never craved the rest. Maybe you guys have a more addictive personality than me!

I've gotten them all at retail when they came out, saving big bucks. :D But yeah once you get one, you want the whole set.

That's cos the original clasics Starscream is just horrible. Horrible plastic, horrible paint. It really stinks. I bought it when it came out at Tesco's and it completely put me off all classics figures, I was that offended by its ugliness. Only now that I have seen how good most of the classics/universe toys are, I am having to buy them all at crazy prices.

What I'm trying to say, is that the original Starscream is a terrible ambassador not only for the seekers mold, but also the classics line in general. Once Dirge arrives in the post, I will have all 6 seekers (not interested in the neon ones) and They are really nice. The Thundercracker paintjob is fantastic. I now have the Universe 2.0 Starscream so thankfully I can use hideous grey plastic and orange Starcream for parts

Seconded. At this point in the game, the seeker molds are no longer producing action figures, they just produce money. Keep the money machine going Hasbro.

I can understand your pain. For the original 6 seekers, I have Universe 2.0 Starscream first for a while. Then Generations Thrust and Dirge and Classics Ramjet. Then this Thundercraker. Like many of you, totally no interest in hunting for Skywarp because of his ridiculous price. So I bought another Cracker and repainted him into Skywarp. Now I'm happy, happy, happy.

Not including any that I've sold or traded I'm up to

Henkei Starscream, Ghost Strascream, Thundercracker and Skywarp, Classics Ramjet, Botcon Thrust and Dirge and 6 Universe Acidstorms. Oh, and a Botcon 07 'cracker and 2 carded Generations 'crackers that will be sold or traded at some point.

I'll be done when I've reacquired a Classics Starscream (had 2 of these through my hands), and gotten hold of G2 Ramjet and Botcon 11 'cracker (these 3 for the G2 end of the Classics shelf), CHMS Rainmaker trio (the U Acidstorms will be their troops), 6 CHMS Generic purples (to go with the season 1 Seekers), 6 Generations Thrusts (troops for the coneheads), Universe Starscream and 3rd party coronation set, and CHMS Ghost TC and SW (to form a reformatting display with ehobby Scourge and Cyclonus). I may replace the Botcon Dirge with a Generations one for the wings and swap the missiles to keep the main coneheads armaments uniform.

I've got the Seeker bug bad.

Oh yeah, the Seekers are fantastic. However, I've limited myself to the Coneheads to reduce the damage to my pocketbook. My good friend collects the regular ones, so we banter about which ones are better. I should note though, that Skywarp is my favorite all-time seeker (love the prankster personality) but I don't feel the need to get a classics one because my Masterpiece is prominently displayed.

It's worth noting however, that my collection lacks a deluxe Ramjet, and my friend's lacks deluxe Skywarp... Perhaps one day HasTak will re-release them. *prays*

a fellow Seibertronian hooked me up with Skywarp not too long ago. oh sure, the henkei one looks a bit better, but not so much that I feel it's worth the money. Still using Classics Starscream as well. Generations Thurst and Dirge are fine...more than that actually, they're bloody gorgeous. I just need Ramjet and I'll be done.

Unless I somehow wind up with loads of cash, then waaaaghlord's plan sounds good. Especially like the reformatting scene idea.

One man's curse is another man's blessing.

I currently sport all released Seekers; domestic, import, and exclusive. They're worth every nickel.

I enthusiastically say: carpe diem, then caveat emptor...

Enjoy the pursuit.

Which version of Starscream? I've got a couple of carded Gen 'crackers and could do with either a Classics or Universe 'scream. I'm in the UK though so postage each way may cost a wee bit.
