A general "complaint"

Alright, so with the new Transformers toys I'm kind of annoyed. You see, I liked when they made one (maaaaybe two versions) version of a transformer I.E. one Bumblebee, one Starscream etc. Yet now Hasbro is making tons of repaints and sizes for way to many figures, and quality isn't taken in consideration it seems. So I basically am saying, if they could just make one version of Bumblebee, instead of eight, we could have maybe more other figures. Also, if Hasbro didn't say that "This figure is going to be Voyager class" then we could have more size accuracy. Anyways, just throwing that out there. Does anyone else agree?

Hasbro is getting way too carried way with the bumblebee new molds. too the extent bumblebee is the direct failure of TF toy assortments like the $29.99 human alliance, leader sizes. deluxes isn't as bad because hasbro can cram 8 deluxes inside one assortment case. but having every wave or DOTM Leaders & every wave of $29.99 HA figures have a bumblebee in it,just kills the sales of those size assortments. leader & $29.99 HA can only cram 2 to 3 toys inside each assortment box. with bumblebee in every case & not selling, this means newer figures in other assortment waves don't get ordered as much till everything sells on the stores shelves.

As you said, your new. Hasbro has already put out multiple scale for figures in the movie-verse since 2007 - 2011. For example, Starscream.

You have Voyager Starscream:2007 and 2009. Leader Starscream in 2009. Deluxe Starscream in 2011. What else do you want 8-} They put out figs of multiple scales to make it affordable to parents buying a deluxe toy for their kids, just cos they wanted a starscream. And also enables you to choose which size you want. I find the leader version pretty good.

And besides, lack of figures? Besides Dispensor and Brain, every other Movie-verse TF has gotten a toy produced, or soon to be released.

But yes, QC is rather poopy these days, but it applies to everything in today's economy, not just TFs. ;)

Exactly. I'm still saturated with DOTM Bumblebee figures but I can't find a Air Raid, Darksteel, or Armored Topspin.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but other than the Spychangers, wasn't Cybertron / Galaxy Force the first line to feature a single character in multiple scales and same basic character design? I'm looking at you, Legends Class, and especially Starscream?

Take a 5 year old into the TF toy aisle and say to him "Go on, grab yourself a Transformer".

Know what he grabs?

He grabs a Bumblebee.

Not because "there's too many Bumblebees", it's because it's his favourite.

Bumblebee is the most popular character with the kids. You know ... Hasbro's target audience, and you know Hasbro ... the guys that make TF's to make money?

Yeah. 'nuff said.

Pretty much what Burn said... Am I personally sick of Bumblebee (and most movie toys in general)? Hell yeah! But if it makes Transformers successful enough to keep putting out kick-ass Classics lines in between, keep pumping out those MFin' Bumblebees!

That's true, but after 3 movies I think every kid on Earth who wants a Bumblebee has at least one already. After that they still cram 3 BB's in every case where the other figures are only 1 per case. BB is clogging shelves almost as bad as Tuner Mudflap was.

They're kids. They destroy them. They get them replaced.

Oh, I beg to differ, we still lack:

Elita One
Mirage/Dino
Alice
Reedman
Igor
Cloverfield Decepticon seen in Chicago
Driller, robot mode based on spider-like boss from War For Cybertron level 8
Nokia bot
Watch bot (DotM)
X-Box
Steering Wheel
Decepticon Protoforms
spiky Dreadlike Con, transforms into Pick up and slaughters several Chicago citizens
the Six other Primes
Kitchen Appliances

granted, some of those aren't exactly screaming for a toy, but the top seven certainly are

You're forgetting the ultimate goal of every Movie TF Collector: Pink Bumblebee

lmao. Yes, pink Bee would be laughably great.

@Rushie - You forgot the Dew bot!

As for the cases... don't retailers have a choice of what their ordering? Being forced to order Bee if they want other figures sounds like it'd be the opposite of helpful for retailers if they're already chalk full of Bumblebee's :/

Or they get put away and immediately ignored then sold at a garage sale where my mom ended up buying them for pennies and I get stuck with the leftovers that I can't even give away, THANK YOU! :BANG_HEAD:

And another thing, birthdays.

My son's 7th birthday party is tomorrow and it is pretty certain that he will end up getting a Bumblebee, most likely from one of the girls that don't have any brothers and don't know what else to buy for a boy.

If Hasbro sells one Bumblebee to every 7 year old birthday, that's several million Bumblebees.

Hey, you can get great deals that way, as long as you want the toy that is. haha. I got a fully functioning 2007 Ultimate Bee for $8 at a flea market and I'm not a big Bumblebee fan ;) In cases like that I'm all too happy a kid got him, played with him for a short while and then wanted him gone. Lol. Feel bad for the parents though, at least in the base of the $50 - 100 toys xP
