Thanks to this eBay auction we have some new in-hand images of the highly anticipated Transformers DOTM Deluxe Class Soundwave. Soundwave is featured in Transformers DOTM wave 6 along with Wheeljack/Que. Images from the auction mirrored below.

The design of this figure is as awesome as the paint apps are uninspiring.

Something is wrong with this figure's transformation...

Is he mistransformed? I thought we got pictures of this dude with different looks to him, making him look a lot less bad.

Other tan that, I'd like to see a comparison with HA Soundwave with this guy. (And one with leader Prime and Voyager Megs)

Aside from the stunning shade of gray, and the (probably) mistransformed shoulders, this guy is looking good.

Much nice than the HA version IMO.

Well at least it looks about 10 times better then that HA POS, version. That thing is an abomination of FAIL!!

Its interesting that the deluxe class has much less car kibble hanging off his back than the HA.

It also seems to have a much more solid stance and better looking feet.

However judging by the size of the Mechtech weapon, and how tiny tiny HA Soundwave is, I'd say this is going to be a very small deluxe, maybe even a scout sized figure.

Why couldnt they give him the same silver treatment they gave DOTM Sideswipe ???

All they had to do was make the deluxe into a HA and you would of had one of the best HA next to jazz, who i just bought should be here on saturday hes my first HA .

The head sculpt is sooooo much better and the legs are compared to his HA figure

im definitly in for buying the deluxe the only bad is the sideswipe grey but i
dont care.

Sigh..... Can I say another bad figure with another terrible paint apps? Look at the size of that mechtech weapon. The HA version is a huge disappoint about the size and now this.

it would be nice if the shoulders were positioned more accurately.. and it would also be super awesome if he had forward bending elbows.. i just don't understand why hasbro decides to do this.. they basically render the arms useless. it's ridiculous.

That Soundwave is suppose to be a deluxe? Its like Hasbro took a step backwards when it came to the DOTM figures. So far I've only bought 2 figures and I really don't see myself getting anymore.

Im feeling fairly certain that hasbro knew people were going to buy this and the HA version just because its soundwave so they didnt really bothering throwing a lot of money towards paint apps / transformation quality ...

I dont think he looks bad .. but the constant "miss transformed" images we keep seeing of him are worrying me that that might not be a miss transformation after all ..

I'll get him and the HA version as well... Probably gonna try to pop the car kibble off and just pray it down with a metallic silver paint of some sort so atleast the vehicle mode looks good.

Hasbro .. you let us down ... now make up with it by giving us a new LC Megs.

For goodness sake, I think the universe needs a lesson in transforming toys...

We've already seen pics of him more or less properly transformed, so I'm not worried about that. The fact that his car roof can fold up on his back is soothing relief, too.

I'm hoping that the MechTech weapon is just obscenely large, and by comparing the vehicle pic to Sideswipe, I think that may be the case. Here's hoping.

Man, the reason they keep producing this crap is because people buy it just because it is (insert character name here). Boycott these disgusting excuses for transformers. It's like they made so much money from the movies that they figured they could just stop trying with movie figs completely. They are kind of right, and that sucks :\ I hate to think of how bad the figures will be for a 4th movie. Optimus prime will be a red, white, and blue popsicle stick, and bumblebee will just literally be a bee.

not sure whats worse this one or the HA one, horrible paints apps(or should is say the lack of), horrible molding, massive kibble that cant be just shrugged off, im sure the transformation is uninspiring. And people thought that ROTF Soundwave & Animated Soundwave were bad, they both look like goddamn works of art compared to these monstrosities. Soundwave had such a good run in the past few years, even the bad figures of him were ok, all to be ruined by hasbros newly found laziness and greed. And bay of course cant forget him.

Another fail lack of paint. At least the robot still looks pretty decent despite that fact. Might still pick this up if it looks good in person.
