Headless Mixmaster (Encore Devastor)

So, i just got my Encore Devastator today, and have seen many reports of Mixmaster being headless. Sadly, i got a headless Mixmaster too.

Seems to be quite a common QC issue in
most Devy sets, my friend came along with me too, and his Devy also had a headless Mixmaster.
I can get exchange, since i bought mine locally, but might be a big problem for people buying from online sites...

Same feeling I had when my United Wreck-gar was delivered.

Did you get your Wreck Gar exchanged? Haven't seen any reports for headless Wreck Gars though. Apparently Most Devy sets here contain a headless Mixmaster, so getting an exchange might be a bigger problem than I imagined...

Some tells me the price for junker Mixmasters will skyrocket with this.

Or maybe Takara/Hasbro will make a replacement program to trade in yur Headless Mixmaster for new ones in good shape.
This is a big bummer for a encore set, released in the middle of a design war where multiple 3rd Party Devastator sets are fighting for dominance.

Of all the junkiest, dollar store, knock-off Transformers I've bought... none of them have ever been missing their heads.

Dear Takara Tomy,
As a fan of the original G1 series I applaud the encore series and always look forward to the next announced release.
I was particularly pleased to hear that you have started to include Head Masters in the range; if you could reissue figures that were actually Head Masters in the first place, it would be even better.
Yours Sincerly,
Pretender Skywarp.

Trade in? The price to mail something to Japan is nuts! Gonna contact the local toy store where i bought this from, and see if they have any sets that i can exchange with.
I wanted to check on the spot, as i heard of this problem, but the store owners wouldn't let me.

Actually, if you want to put it that way, they included the body, but not the Headmaster itself.

At least 4 people i know from Singapore have faced this issue, and they all bought from different stores.

I somehow feel relieved that the only G1 constructicon I have is Mix.... When the faulty sets hit ebay, it will be child's play to get the rest.

I contacted the shop and they said Takara would be sending them replacement heads, so I guess that problem is solved? ...

Damn, I hope mine is okay whenever I get them from CP. So far, from the pic, it looks just like the original. Any change e.g. tampograph, color wise, mold, etc? More pics......

Im no big G1 expert, so i can't tell if anything changed. I'm also too darn scared of breaking anything to disassemble Devy and get more pics out. Sorry about that.

this is isolated, I ordered 60 of these from takara for my convention dealing and had my supplier check some. All had all heads accounted for.
it would be a monumental blunder if all Encore 20s had a head missing.
just a bad batch sent to a area of singapore.

I'm glad it was caught in time.
