Shiny.

 Ah well, at least I don't have to worry about picking up the Japanese versions for TF: Prime.

Different DOTM Deluxe Soundwave too. Not better though, because they still haven't fixed the unpainted alt mode.

Either the pic is very dark, the figures are or both. Prime looks more black than blue. If BB is really a much more rich yellow/orange, I'll get him. I'd like to see better pictures before I commit to any of them. I'll be getting the Prime figures in one form or another though. They look fantastic. I can't believe it's taken over 25 years to get to a place where we have no kibble but it's great!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stick a Decepticon symbol on that Optimus Prime and you could have a workable Season 2 Orian Pax.

Can some kind Mod post side by side images of SW in robot mode? Though I think there are little differences unfortunately. :VEHI:

I preordered Bulkhead to stand in my Classics shelf, but that scan looks awefully dark. It could be that everything should be a few shades lighter

Of maybe that's TT's "thing" that will seperate this line from the US line: darker paint apps?

Wow, those Prime toys look awful compared to the Hasbro ones. Why can't Takara get away from shiny plastic, it looks absolutely terrible. Sorry, TakaraTomy, you lose hard to Hasbro with this one.

What's with all the shiny comments? The plastic used on these figures looks nothing like the sheen that's given off from their Animated/United figures.

Only Bulkhead is shiny (as he should be consdiering how much a sheen he has in the cartoon). That Bumblebee is spot on with the right shade of golden yellow (as opposed to Hasbro's banana yellow) and a light-colored face (while Hasbro's has a dark-colored face). Prime is the only one that looks... questionably painted.

I will contract my statement on the sheen on the toys since I was looking on my phone. Regardless, Prime and Bulkhead look awful because they are way too dark. Prime barely looks like the same character. Now, if they chromed the gray plastic and dialed back the dark in the blue, he would look better than Hasbro's version, but otherwise he is crap. Bulkhead is close, but loses to the Hasbro version in terms of color accuracy. Bumblebee being close is debatable.

The image itself looks very dark. We'll need to see these toys in better lighting to be sure.

Or it could just be Bulkhead during the nighttime. ;)

Agreed. The plastic used on these look just as matte as Hasbro's.

Regardless of how dark these photos are, Bulkhead definately looks like he's got some black/dark grey plastic on him, most notably on his shoulders and two-tone doors. Takara certainly seems to have gone 'Night Attack' with Bulk and Optimus. Quite surprised by the lack of painted rims as well.

Why the Takara one? The Hasbro one will be exactly the same and is due in a few weeks.

I'm getting both versions, I just want the takara one mainly to have the mechtech card because the past ones they did looked great and I'd love to see how his card turns out

Also does the hasbro version have 2 tools? (I remember back when we had the NYCC pictures he had 2) the latest pictures we have (from Soundwavedotm) he only had 1 tool..
