G1 Piranacon Vs. Reissue Piranacon

I have about half of the G1 figures, and am just wondering if they are interchangeable with the Big Bad Toy Store reissue.
I've tried to compare to pictures online, but can't really tell. Does anyone have a G1 and a Big Bad Toy Store reissue that they can put side by side to see how similar each color is to the G1? Do the shades of green, purple and pink all match?
I know that they've changed the color on some of the character's parts, like Snaptrap has a green head instead a a black head. That doesn't bother me as long as the shade of each color is the same.
Thanks

While they are 100% compatible in terms of combination and guns, the colors do vary.
As far as I can tell:
The Teal or sea green on Nautilator and Seawing are pretty close to the originals.
However the Purple on Overbite was changed to a bright pink for the BBTS reissue.
And the Bright Pink on Snaptrap and Tentakill are slightly different to the originals.
Other than that they do match up just as well as the original even with the variations.

To say the least!!
The amount of mold degredation the new release suffered is very dissapointing. I have nothing good to say about it other than that it's worth getting for all the weapons and the other myriad of items that go with Piranacon that would otherwise cost you hundreds to get on Ebay. Get it for that reason alone if at all.
G1 all the way! Plastic is infinitely better. Colours are better and the thing will actually stay together in combined mode.

While my BBTS Piranaocn has some issues, its for the most part a great toy. I don;t think it has as many or as bad QC issues as people are making it out to have.
I mean really the only thing that's annoying is the looseness in Overbites arms, and his inability to hold his gun with the peg.
Other than that, my Piranacon holds together pretty well. And for the clearance price of $30 bucks right now at BBTS its a steal.

At that price i would say to pick it up. It payed 80 for it and am still kicking myself in the ass for being so hasty.
@Overcracker. Your lucky that those are the only problems you have with yours as far as QC goes. Mine is worse than a KO. Skalor has no scales on his left side. They're all melted or smeared.
Big fat gaps and warped seams and joints in the plastic. Very waxy and cheap plastic. Looks like melted candle wax for crying out loud.
The connectors inside his hands fall out and he can't hold his gun. The limbs move in and out of there connectors FREELY! no clicking or even friction resistance to at least give the illusion that the limb is firmly connected.
Very dissappointing release for me. Like i said before though. Get it for the parts if anything. At the 30 bucks it's an alright price. Be warned. You could wind up with a hunk of junk like mine.
Hunt for the G1 figures online. They are nice and cheap now too for the most part.

Wow you have a lot of issues with yours, issues I haven;t heard anybody complain about. Did you get it from BBTS? Why didn't you return it ask for a refund or replacement? I'm sure with those many defects BBTS would have happily replaced it.
If you got it elsewhere (not online) its possible its a KO, as the set was an Online only deal, no regular stores would have gotten it anywhere.

Got it at BBTS. Very official. It's just a crap release. Not matter how ya cut it. You may haven't heard of anybody with issues like mine but you also haven't heard anyone say anything good about it either.
I can't be bothered returning it anyways. It's just a big hassle.
Ya get ripped off ya get ripped off. A somewhat expensive lesson learned but thems the breaks. It's not like i'm pissed about it laying awake at night or anything. And for the record i'm not "complaining". I'm just giving you my experience with this release since i saw the topic up on the boards.
It has some issues.

Mine had a bent sword. Loose joints. Can't hold on to his target master handle and the molding on Tentakill and Nautilator............'nuff said!

I used to have the all the G1 figures complete... My brother's friend gave it to me for about a year, then decided he wanted it back (damn you inventor of ebay). I was excited to see the re-release, but I think I will wait until I come across some more G1. Thanks everyone.

Everyone is hating.
The originals arent exactly crisp clean molds to begin with, or colored the same even on individual molds lol
Besides for $30, the extra parts and pieces alone will make your life easier piecing together a original anyhow.
