Happy Thanksgiving to all once again. I wanted to start a new topic concerning Black Friday. Specifically do you have any transformer-related Black Friday stories? Was there something you were looking for and found? Maybe a rare figure or something you or your kids really wanted?

I know I set out to find some TF Prime toys at my local Toys R Us. After waiting in line for nearly 45 mins I was able to get into the store and begin the hunt. When I finally made it to the TF section (after battling through the mob) I was disappointed to find NOTHING. At first glance that is. One thing I did notice is they had the same amount of MP Rodimus' they've had for about two months now. I'm wondering if MP Rodimus just isn't clicking because they couldn't hold onto Grimlock last year. Anyways after digging through the piles of garbage (DOTM Bumblebees, scan series, ROTF Mudflaps and Ravages) I finally found a TF Prime 1st Edition Bumblebee ! I couldn't believe it. I enthusiastically presented my find to my wife and be headed for check out. We ended up waiting in line for nearly a hour and a half in which time my wife changed our baby's diaper, two drunks nearly dropped a skateboard on my daughter , watched as just about every other mom carried an Ultimate Optimus to the checkout (one even had two of them) and my wife asked me if it was really worth waiting in line for about a dozen times. Safe to say I weathered the storm and came out with a TF Prime Bumblebee which is one more Prime toy than most of us have right now. I consider my Black Friday experience a success and I am glad we went out.

Ok so tell us your Black Friday experiences (as related to transformers). Anyone else snag any TF Prime toys? Still waiting for those sweet voyager sightings to start popping up.

I more or less skipped Black Friday, unless you count having to go to work. Thought about going out, but ended up spending Thanksgiving night goofing off online chatting with a few friends and working on my Christmas Cards (one of which is TF: Prime related actually xD )

I thought about buying Ultimate Optimus on Amazon when he showed up on their flash deals for a while. He was something like $45, but passed it up because it's not a mold I'm a big fan of and it would have blown my personal budget to the moon. Lol.

Ran over the TJ Maxx after work last night, didn't see anything worth my attention. Saw Dark Steel and Air Raid at Target for the first time, but I was enthused enough to blow money on them. Headed over to Walmart and found an x-mas gift for my brother and the Grimstone Promo with Leadfoot, which made me pretty happy. I was prepared to blow what meager funds I allotted myself this month (for personal purchases mind you), but my parents decided they'd take it from me when I got home and give it to me as an x-mas gift. So that worked out xD Moral of that story - always ask if you can buy the display piece, because that's what the Grimstone/Leadfoot bundle was. Had the "not for sale" sticker on it and everything, but they were more than willing to sell it to me... probably due to the fact I was there at 8:30pm (I heard a similar story about a TRU doorbuster, a kids scooter or something like that, from a lady I know.)

So nothing half as exciting. Lol. Glad your kids made it out of TRU safe and sound. I'm surprised they even let drunks into the store xP And Grats on the TFP find!

Well we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here... But i still went to a couple of TRUs in search of TF:Prime and the last waves of generations.

But... nothing.

Well, I had to work yesterday, but I still managed to scope out 2 Ross stores last night. I found nothing that appealed to me. They had some RTS Bumblebees but I'm still passing on that figure for now. The closest Ross was probably still empty because of me. Earlier this week I found and bought Wreck Gar, Optimus, Perceptor, and Special Ops Jazz. They still have a set or two of PCC Grimstone floating around but that set doesn't interest me.

I also received my package from TRU yesterday. I ordered First ED TF Prime Starscream. This figure is awesome. They did an amazing job making it pretty show accurate. I already have the NYCC prime 2 pack, so I didn't order Bumblebee or Arcee. I probably will when they become available again.

I went to Target Friday morning to get some things for a party we were having, and went to the TFs to see what they had. Not much new to me, but I did see and buy a single Cannon Force Ironhide. $10, too good to pass up.

Also found a set of DOTM Leadfoot PJs for my little boy!

All the pcc value packs had a not for resale sticker on one of the barcodes. Since there are two different barcodes (2 packages 2 barcodes), they cover one up and use the other to scan. I went to Walmart thursday evening at 11:00 pm (which was an hour after the sale began) and found the Spastic I was looking for and it had Heavytread with it. Heavytread had a not for resale sticker over his barcode.

It was still extremely busy with people checking out but with my store navigating ninja skills, I was in and out in like 10 minutes.

That makes sense now that I think about it xD

I just assumed it was a display thing because there were only two, thrown hap hazardously on the shelf, when I went. The sales isle itself was pretty much empty, save maybe a dozen or so toys. Lol.

I had a fun time running around, myself. Did find the Prime first edition figures. I also had to look around a minute. They were on the bottom shelf, kind of buried under some DOTM stuff. Also found an Air Raid.

I did hear some war stories of people climbing over shelves at Walmart from my brother, plus people snatching stuff from other people.............sad
