The teal metalic pants on DOTM Leader Ironhide's toy,doesn't look that bad.

I like the teal metalic pants as they give the toy a more realistic
Metal machine robot look.

The pants are not blue,the color is a teal metal.

I honestly think all black pants would have made the toy look extremly dull. the teal metalic pants really brings out the details in the sculpted legs.

I got used to it, but I'm still not a huge fan of it. I'd have preferred a deep, deep blue (like on the verge of being black, but you can still tell it has blue in it) if Hasbro didn't want to go black. The lack of color seems more lazy than anything. There are grays and golds on his legs as it is, they would have been a nice accent against a dark color, in my opinion. The toe clamps could have then been this color the legs are, or even gray.

If we wish to get technical though, his legs aren't teal. Teal is brighter (it's one of my favorite colors). On a really technical stand point its more like "USN Blue Gray"

I'm a stickler for accurate. I want black. If I get this figure (on sale or not at all) I'll paint him very soon after.

I don't mind it either, I never did. It looks just fine. IIRC, Ironhide' legs weren't black in the movies anyway. They were more dark gray/blue. In DotM anyway.

The blue legs doesn't bother me that much. I would have preferred that they used more black. I might go at him with some touch-up paint to add some black to his legs.

I painted the legs on mine, the blue stood out way too much. If they went with the blue-gray color that's on his torso that would have been a lot better.
