G1 Predaking Vs. 2010 Reissue Predaking

I have all of the G1 Predacons with metal bodies, except for Divebomb. I never had any of their weapons or the parts to make Predaking, though. I might buy a Divebomb, once I find one in good shape.

Can someone tell me the best way to go about getting all the weapons and Predaking parts? They are too expensive for me to buy one piece at a time on Ebay. Would I be best off getting the 2010 reissue and using those parts, or do some of the colors not match my old red/yellow/black figures?

Is there a cheap way to get the G1 parts or should I just buy KO parts?

Thanks everyone.

Also, does the reissue come in the original G1 colors, or only gold/red/black? I think the G1 yellow looks better.

Since all the parts are gray and black, it shouldn't be an issue. I believe the only real difference between the original and the reissue from Takara is the color of the figures themselves, not the parts used for Predaking (the fists, feet gun etc.).

^ That's correct. The 2010 Reissue has G1-colored accessories, but the yellow on the figures has been changed to gold, along with some other minor changes, as well as changes to the decals. IIRC, there was one previous Takara reissue that was G1 accurate, but it would be much harder to come by than the 2010 version.
