Punch/Counterpunch

Hello. So, I've been looking into getting the TFCC Punch/Counterpunch toy off of eBay, but I have one problem (other than the INSANE price)... I still couldn't tell his true faction for certain... I WANT to display him with my Decpticons because they are still vastly outnumbered, but watching the G1 series made me feel like he was truly an Autobot. If I could get some fellow fan insight on this I would greatly appreciate it.

This. But his Decepticon persona Counterpunch is slowly becoming real and Punch is well aware of that. Coupled with his paranoia about betrayal, he's constantly walking a knife's edge, afraid of slipping into and embracing his Counterpunch side permanently.

Isn't Doubledealer also an Autobot? Is it not strange that the good guys have two double agents? I've always thought that strange. I know Punch is an Autobot, I remember his package being red back in the day, and I know this thread is about Punch and not DD, but is it not weird that the good guys have two spies while the bad guys really have no equivalent character?

I see it as the Autobots are severely outnumbered and outgunned and need these spy/saboteur style counter measures to gain any advantage they can.

Although Decepticons have spies and saboteurs but not double agents. Save for Flipsides. If she counts.

Doubledealer is neither. He's not a double agent at all, he's a mercenary. If you have to give him a faction, put him with the Decepticons to have the Powermasters balanced out.

More like the character he plays slowly taking over his mind.

Misguided affection, due to not being hugged enough by Prime.
