Title says it all.
Which characters do you think deserve the RTS Lugnut treatment?
My votes:
Bulkhead
Knockout (though I'd like to see his Prime version on shelves first

Maybe some of the BM Vehicon generals? I'd bet they'd be pretty cool.
Thoughts?

Classics Starscream repainted as Slipstream would be orgasmic.

First & foremost the Classics/generations toy line would have to start including bigger toy size levels again & increase the sizes by leader sized toys.
Here's goes my want list:
1- Transmetal 2 megatron. voyager sized, more sleeker & better proportioned. no rubbery parts. get rid of the 3rd mode vechicle wheels. decrease the big spark bubble ball on the robot chest by 80%. get rid of the baseball cap & horns. have the toy with 2 robot arms. with a pop off/on dragon neck+head hand weapon. make the robot legs longer & sleeker looking.
2- Armada megatron,$27 usa ultra sized. the robot mode needs more poseabilty especially in the legs. their needs to be walking legs, splitting to the side legs. bending knee joints. a ball jointed robot head. GET RID OF THE REINDEER Horns on the robot head. still make the toy compatibale & combine with armada tidalwave. must come with the minicon & have minicon ports on the toy.
3- armada tidwalwave, ultra sized. super poseable in robot mode & combines with megatron.

I'm curious as to how freakishly un-humanoid bots (like Movieverse Constructicons or BM Vehicons) would look in the Classics style.

So, Tidalwavex, I'm guessing that you're a fan of Tidal Wave?

IMO Prime Bulkhead is pretty close to what I imagined his Classics form to look like. So much so that I'm getting one specifically for my classics shelf.
As for non G1-bots, I'd love to see X-Brawn and RiD Prowl done up in Classics style to go with TFCC's Side Burn. Also more of the Armada figures such as Demolishor, Cyclonus and heck, even Side Swipe.

I would have said just Tankor, but when I think about it, an update for all of them would be nice.

Waspinator. Everybody change their vote to Waspy and petition the living crap out of Hasbro.

The horns are essential IMO. Else you would be stuck with a robot with a nazihelmet.
Edit- which changes in to a tank and has a holding cell for a certain group of Cybertronian folks... WHAT AN AWFUL TOY.

I'd like to see Tarantulas get a classic figure. One that doesn't suck and looks like an actual Tarantula. They could give it a remold and do the same for Blackarachnia. Also Oil Slick, Tidal Wave, and Animated Jetfire and Jetstorm.

Blackarachnia and Tarantulas would be very cool. BW Rampage as well, and of course, Waspinator. Rhinox and his big guns wouldn't go amiss either.
Maybe some much more poseable versions of the Spychangers from RiD, if Hasbro were to take a leaf out of iGear's Minirobots line. Speaking of RiD...hows about a Scourge, Hasbro?

To be honest, nothing. The figures from each series defines the era. As much as I appreciated the attempts with Dinobot and Hot Shot, neither really gave me the feeling that I was going to replace their predecessors with those figures. I'm not even one who'll back up G1, but there's such a diverse cast from that Universe, albeit from comics, the cartoon, and fiction, that have yet to receive any love in toy form.
As much as I'd give figures like Dinobot and Hot Shot a chance, it just doesn't compare to the original. Figures to be made in this day and age - trying to homage a toy made 10+ years ago is going to have to make sacrifices. The quality and thickness of plastic in today's figures is shoddy and has seen better days. Paint applications and quality control are laughable. Don't even discuss distribution or the declining size of deluxe figures.
I'd think that Beast Wars reincarnations would have no chrome, and to be honest, the majority of the best BW figures shouldn't even be bothered with. Optimal Optimus, Depthcharge, and Tigatron are beauties. You try to remake BW into Classics, and where does that figure even belong? It's going to look ridiculous next to BW toys, and I'd rather not create my own fiction to fit that character into the Neo-G1 verse.
Looking at any characters from Armada, which we've already seen with Hot Shot, will just get butchered. Jolt is just an aside. It's next to useless as it doesn't benefit or interact with Hot Shot, other than to pop on to his one powerlink port. Articulation and poseability may increase but the cost is just too high for an Armada purist like myself. The interactions with mini-cons gimmick is what the line tried to sell to begin with. Sure, a rendition of Optimus Prime or Megatron would be appealing for me, but is it going to be big enough to replace the original, and is there even a big target market for that?.. No.
R.I.D. is quite possible, but it's just going to be repaints or remolds like this year's TFCC Sideburn. Energon is much as the same as Armada. It's a gimmick-heavy line that if you're going to redo a character or two, it's not going to belong with the original toy line, and unless it gets some canon fiction love, it's not going to belong in the Classicsverse for me. Cybertron and Animated are far too early for this.
The only line that I see that's viable for this is Beast Machines. And the question pretty much goes - do people want Beast Machines to be redone, or shall we get back to focusing on G1? Like for goodness sake, a year ago we didn't have Classicsverse Jazz, Kup, or Wheeljack!

I think there are too many G1 figures that could to be made to worry about other lines.

Okay, prepare for the beating. *takes a deep breath*

I'd like to see Beast Wars main cast brought back in brand new molds

. (Minus Dinobot as we've got a nice update already)

Awww, no dedicated mold? Or at least retools on the robot parts to make her more slim. Classics Starscream is pretty bulky.

I'll argue these with one sentence, that's how good I am

Generations Hot Shot looks way better on my Classics shelf than the Armada version does.
That's my sentence.

And wait damnit, you don't even have an Armada shelf anymore.

This. The 1984 line hasn't even been finished!
