How To Remove Tape Residue From Boxes?

I just bought some Encore reissues, and peeled off the tape when I opened them. The tape came off easy, but left residue on part of the glossy picture.

Does anyone have any good tips how to remove tape residue from boxes? Is there something I could spray on it, and wipe off real quick, that won't mess up the box art?

Sorry for such a newbie question...

Grab a piece of new sticky tape and stick it to your hands a couple of time to reduce its sticking ability a bit then dab it to the area of the box with the left over residue, that should pick it off.

If that doesnt work then...

Rubbing the area with a soft cloth soaked in a bit of isopropyl alcohol will remove the left behind sticky stuff. You just need to be careful not to soak the cardboard. If it does get damp, stop and let it dry then try again.

Dont drink the isopropyl alcohol and wash your hands after to be safe.

Done it many times thanks to Argos ( a store ) sticking stock number labels to everything.

Ravage XK's advice is real good for tape residue... But I was just wondering if you are sure it is actually tape residue. You see, I have also noticed tape actually taking off the gloss finish from cardboard printing, in which case it is irreversable, and trying to treat it would probably do more bad than good.
