Hello all.

Longtime lurker and newly registered. Thought I would debut with a cool find. I bought Windcharger this evening at 5Below. The was in Monroeville, PA. He was five dollars. Had the rest of the wave also. Not sure how many Windchargers were there; saw the first one and grabbed it, but they had a ton of figures from that wave.

Good for you at the lucky find. In our line of collecting you win some you loose some. But as a whole, the figure is worth the price. Btw,please check it for the double left hand defect. Happened in my neck of the woods hence I had to go through more unorthodox means of getting one( still at a cheap price btw.)

I saw four RTS Windchargers at a local "5below" store. I bought one & left the 3 for others to buy.

I think/guess hasbro for the black friday day gave a bunch of stores the last waves RTS & Last waves PCC toys. walmart got the pcc stunticons & last 3 PCC deluxe 2 packs. ollies got the last wave RTS deluxes. TJMaxx got the cosco gold colored BBB Bumblebee $59.99 toy. fivebelow got the last wave RTS Basics & all the RTS G-1 Legends figures.

interesting thing to note. I read fivebelow doesn't accept returns. they don't give refunds. in order to get a exchange the item must be proven to be broke or defective. fivebelow says since all their items are on sale, they don't offer money back on sale items. I know biglots has the same exact return policy like fivebelow has.

I kinda figured that.

I was just wondering if it was part of a chain, or if there were similar stores where these could be found. For example, how Dollar General and Family Dollar are all part of one chain...

I found some of these.

I'd love to do a little swapping with someone that has one of those cheap Wreck-gars.

Dagnabbit. According to their store finder, the nearest one is 431 miles from me.

But my SECOND question still stands. What sort of store is it LIKE, in the chance there is a SIMILAR store to 5 below somewhere near me?

In the USA,Fivebelow is a retail Discount store. similar to the other discount stores like Tjmaxx, marshalls,Ross, big lots, ollies,Odd lot,etc...

From what I've read on the internet,TV & from visting these USA Retail Discount store chains. these discount stores seem to specialize in getting stuff for cheap from companies & other stores that have over stock of un-sold merchandise.

Some of the time regular store exclusives from Walmart,Cosco & other regular retail stores will contact these discount stores & sell them their un-sold over stock merchandise. Examples: TJmaxx stores are currently carrying some Cosco gold metalic colored BBB $59.99 HFTD Bumblebee toys. Marshalls months ago was selling the walmart store exclusive universe 2.0 ultra sized repaints of powerglide, hardhead & the black colored silverbolt toy.

I am not sure how these discount store acquire these merchandise items from other regular retail stores. my gueeses are as follows: (1) various different discount stores owners/workers show up at auction type lots & the highest bidder gets the merchandise. (2) perhaps it all gets done by the phone or computer. where these discount store owners/workers constantly call retail stores & offer to buy their un-sold merchandise. (3) various retail stores call these discount stores & ask them if their interested in their un-sold merchandise.

It's worth mentioning that TJMaxx & Marshalls are owned by the same company.

I'm not sure about this last statement of mine. it's just a guess. but I noticed every time I see a Five below store, their is sometimes a Five guys burgers & fries restaurant nearby. So I'm guessing that the same owner "MIGHT" own five below stores & five guys burgers & fries restaurant.

He only shipped two per case of 12 and the rest of his wave-mates had been in plentiful supply beforehand, so they just sat there whilst the new figs disappeared. This led to slow restocks and combined with poor distribution, makes him one of the more troublesome figures to obtain.

I'm glad you guys stateside are finally vetoing the opportunity to pick one up at a decent price....

it's like a TJMaxx/Marshalls for a younger age bracket
more knick knacks, toys, electronic accessories and DVDs than a TJs
no clothing or home goods though
