So which figure is supposed to be more show accurate?

It doesnt even say Transformers: Prime on the front. For a misinformed shopper it could be just another line of toys and not TF: Prime...

the blue boxes do look better but theres just to much wasted space in them, that is partly because prime figures are small but its also because hasbro made the boxes to big for the figures. This shape in the current coloring would be better.

It should be noted that this pic comes from a damning report on Hasbro's factories.

"Holidays by Hasbro: Transformers from Hell"

http://www.globallabourrights.org/reports?id=0642

There's some pretty horrible things in there.

I know, but same goes for Apple, and I think pretty much any factory in China. It's a crappy situation. Still somebody is making a lot of cash. DOTM deluxes in Holland cost 20 euro's.

Made in China means made in slavery.

Ontopic:
I like the new package, and that they made a complete new mold of Bumblebee, hope they do the same for Arcee! (don't get me wrong, I love the mold and have the pink version, but more molds means more chance of recolours and I need a female sub-group of tf's)

New mold...but why? Unless he were either more show accurate in bot mode or closer to scale, why would two deluxes be necessary? Especially this early on.

It's true what they say: ignorance is bliss. If this report is accurate then it certainly casts a dark cloud over one's hobby. I can't help but question the character of whoever came across this report and decided to make use of it as a product catalogue.

On topic: I just hope we get comparison photos of the two editions before the first becomes scarce.

Yeah I got quite the unsettling feeling in my stomach after reading that.

back to the topic: It's cool but I still haven't seen any Prime toys out where I live so I can't get that excited.

Meh, better them then me I guess. Sorry, but I've just never been the type of person to dwell on (or care about) things like that.

On Topic:
I'm guessing this means we'll be getting the full fledged line sometime soon. That's pretty strange because I still haven't found Cliffjumper, Voyager Prime, or Bulkhead. Geez, when are those guys going to start showing up in the U.S.?

Wow... so that makes you some other type of person all together. Merry Christmas, Captain America. Seriously, on topic: Some people are heartless this holiday season and, BTW, screw the new packaging news.

Those people need the strength of Unions on their side, not a bunch of athletes that aren't happy with the billions they're making chasing balls around.

OT: I suspect the new mold is to seperate the 'regular' release from the first editions. I like this idea, since I opened my first editions.

No. This is the U.S. figure coming in March.

Check your local Toys'R'Us.

Lapse Of Reason wrote:So which figure is supposed to be more show accurate?
Difficult to tell right now. We'll just have to get both and judge for ourselves. ;)

It's probably obscured by the top of the image. It's gotta be on there somewhere.

:BOT:
To sell toys. To sell Bumblebee. To milk the franchise. Pick one. ;)

Lol, I suppose it does make me some other type of person all together; an honest person. Oh, and merry Christmas to you too. Captain America has always been one of my favorite super heroes aside from Batman (yes, I consider Batman to be a superhero). My brother dislikes him for some reason though.

Oh, and on topic, I'm really looking forward to seeing RID Arcee. Maybe she'll be a little more screen accurate.

slightly off-topic: i've read that pdf file, and i am appalled at what is happening to those poor chinese workers.
is there anything that we fans can do to make a fist?

On the subject of the non-first edition figures, I think calling them a "brand new mold" is a bit of a stretch.

As for those Chinese workers... is this really new to anyone? It's the Chinese Socialist Market Economy hard at work. Hasbro's factories are just some of many. Not much we can do to change that outside of discouraging Chinese production altogether, which would only make things worse for those people. Though frankly America is in such a terrible economic downturn I'd rather we take those jobs away and produce the toys here. My words are cold, yes, but myself, my family and my fellow countrymen should always come before strangers, America has poor people too.

Y'know, what really freaks me out is that China has not had another revolution.

Hasbro said it was a new mold at SDCC 2011.

Going off of the appearance of BB here, all his panel lines look exactly the same. I'd say the changes are probably just some superficial retooling. Then again, if you consider every variation of movie BB to be a "brand new mold"...
