Don't know if this is old or not, but I saw this auction:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Transformers-Op ... 500wt_1413

Looks to be the Trilogy Prime in packaging. I must say it looks pretty cool. If this is old, just delete this thread.

So, judging from the packaging, it's back to "Transformers" as the name for the main line (like the 2010 line), with "Movie Trilogy Series" as the header. Lovely, make things confusing again. 8-}

In-Package Look at Deluxe Optimus Prime with Mechtech Trailer - First Look at Movie Trilogy Series

Thanks to an ebay auction, we get a look at the packaging for the upcoming Movie Trilogy line. The figure in the auction is the Deluxe Optimus Prime with Mechtech armory trailer.

The line looks to be called Transformers with Movie Trilogy Series as a subheader. This could be a sign the new line might be in stores soon.

Optimus Prime has traveled across the universe, and fought along side many great noble warriors. Throughout it all, he has relied on his own private arsenal. It is a collection of the most powerful weapons in the universe. Built up over centuries, it has seen him through some of the most dangerous and devastating battles in the history of the cosmos.

Though the truck cab figure is a Deluxe Class, what size class is the whole thing being sold as?

I Can picture them selling it as a special for around $30.00 USD, as an "Ultra" Class figure.

We repeat:

THIS IS A HASBRO RELEASE! THIS IS NOT JAPANESE! THIS IS COMING TO AMERICAN STORES!

Hope that's clear enough. :)

Clear as crystal, no clear as glass scrubbed with windex! It just seems like it's too good to be true to alot of us. Surely you understand that feeling, right? I believe it, but part of me (A very small part)
Is saying "What if it never comes?"
Hell, I'm still waiting on deluxe soundwave, Wheeljack, and Leadfoot! I'm beginning to wonder if they'll EVER happen!
I'm sure they will, but all that panick comes from that little part of me that doubts everything...
I Shall name him BittyBeast.

Yes, but that feeling has come and gone from me long ago, since we first heard about it (and saw pictures of it) at New York Comic-Con months ago.

This excites me, and trust me, I will definitely buy this. It will be good to have a trailer that actually does work as a trailer instead of making Optimus beefier (which is still really cool). I hope this series doesn't suck (although it has way to much potential for it) since I am excited for some new takes on cool characters. :KREMZEEK:

So they advertise the trailer as his armory but it appears he doesn't even come with ONE weapon for himself. The price will determine if I want this.

Should fill that trailer up with some Decepticon faces.

IMHO,This is a easy pass/no buy for me.

WHY? Because I saw the deluxe DOTM toy at walmart & I didn't like it. the toy looked to simplified in design, transformation, sculpt & engineering.

I'm gonna give a SOLID GUESS that this deluxe prime+trailer will be a walmart store exclusive. because walmart seems to have exclusive exclusive rights to this deluxe dotm prime mold in america. also higher price point toys near the end of a line have a hard time trying to get retailers to carry them in their brick & mortar stores.

anyways i'm one of those TF fans that don't like spending excessive high amounts of cash on a trailer that just splits open down the middle. If I'm gonna spend high excess amounts of cash for a truck cab+trailer combo. then the trailer needs to break up into armor pieces or a suit of armor to combine with the truck cab/robot mode to form a bigger robot.

I would hope it would work with any of the Leader Class figures, but that's a big no, from the looks of it.

I'm okay with the packaging. I was expecting something a bit different.

Looks nice and simple.
I wonder what else this line will give us though.

Hasbro showed pics of the 1st deluxe wave a while back, consisting of:
-G1 styled Que/Wheeljack with a new head
-Soundwave colored like Soundblaster
-A Ratchet repaint, and...
-Another repaint of someone almost nobody needs...coughBumblebeecough

So it's going to be a re-release/repaint line. Great. And I was hoping for some good new figures to fill the gaps.
