Movie Leader Prime's stupid foot!

My wife bought me Leader Prime yesterday and I noticed that the "toes" on his right foot wouldn't stay in place. After digging around I saw the little tab on the bumper was almost worn flat, where it fits into the slot on the bottom of the foot. (I'll show in a picture) The automorph then springs back to the truck mode setup. Do you guys have any fixes for this?

This is the slot I was talking about on the Right foot:

This is the worn peg on his right foot. Notice there is no space between the bumper and where the peg touches the foot:

This is the way it should look, and how the left foot is set up. Notice the space between the foot and the bumper:

This is just a guess, since I don't have the fig, but could you fabricate a small piece of thin plastic to mirror the good peg, and cement that to the bumper?

My powers of fabrication are less than stellar, as in none whatsoever. I'm sure that would work, though.

I imagine you wouldn't need an exact match or anything; by the look of it any suitably small sliver of plastic would do the job. Maybe you could cut a bit off of one of the plastic stopper bars that the twisty ties are tied through in boxed figs?

Try the Spider-Man Figure creator!
It shows you how to make figs out of plastic! You'll be able to make a replica!

Couldn't you just exchange it for another? I know it was a gift, but it's the thought, and I'm sure she would want you to have a properly working figure.

Yikes. Is every Prime like that, or is it Hasbro's poopy quality control? I haven't opened mine yet (delay gratification) and I will need some advice if every Prime really has this problem.
