So maybe I'm slow...

...but am I missing something here? After Junkheap and Skyshadow, are there any plans of more generations toys? What's beyond Que and Soundwave?

What I'm saying is; Hasbro! Where's the news?

...or... Maybe I'm slow and I missed it?

They should take a page from Mattels' marketing model. If you collect MOTUC at all, which i do, they generate hype around up and coming figures and give teasers of figures that are in the works ready for release throughout the coming year.

Hasbro doesn't. Albeit that exapample is a very 'collector' oriented line of which Hasbro for some reason hasn't adopted.

They should be more transparent with what they have planned and be less esoteric about it and act like they're pumped and appreciative of the following they have.

I may have missed the mark with this reply but in my opinion....it's not you that is slow. It's Hasbro.

Not to pile on but I'm still waiting for something about the Dino reissues you hinted at as well.

A bit of a dirth of new info at this time of year is nothing new. We know that we'll be getting Prime and a continuation of the movie line over the next few months, some of that shown off at NYCC. Once the convention season kicks into gear again (Botcon, SDCC) we'll start seeing more 'official' images of upcoming lines.

What surprises me the most is the fact we hardly ever see prototypes of unknown figures nowadays. Has security been tightened that much since the last few years?

What was the info with que (who is que anyhow?) and soundwave? Are there plans for another generations soundwave in the works? Ill admit I dont get the soundwave feel from cybertronian soundwave, but he grows on you.
Id much rather see a shockwave figure, arcee, blaster, blitzwing, brawn, any of the dinos(excluding the already done and underaprieciated grimlock) or any of the plenty other bots that havnt been done than another soundwave.
Thats just me though.

What itches me the most is the complete lack of info surrounding the Generations line. Even after the release of Skyshadow Hasbro is silent. Usually some storelisting or official photo pops up.

Well I for one would like the transformers line to be handled as differently from the mattel motu line as possible.

I agree that they are more revealing and forth comming with info reguarding new product. They like to have fun with their fan base with their news as well but passed that collecting motu is a nightmare!
As long as the simularities begin and end with the way info reguarding new product is divuldged I guess Id be alright with it.
It realy is a shame. The four horseman did a bang up job on the 2000 motu line and continue to do a great job on the classics line but The prices are just too steep, the figures as was with the 2000 line are too hard to get ahold of. I realy wish mattel would iron out the problems with motu and get it back on the shelf and on the air where it belongs.

That was supposed to be the Encore after Devastator but it's been more or less cancelled. Wouldn't give me a reason why but I'm guessing it has to do with being unable to salvage the Swoop mold. (he never showed up in G2 or in Europe either)

Gutted that's the case!

I wish Has/Tak would just reissue the other four. As a Brit' Swoop never made it to these shores. We could easily have a 4 piece 'Euro' gift set.

That really stinks. It's Swoop I want most!

The movie on Blu-Ray 3D will be available on January 31st, Wheeljack and Soundwave have been pushed back to February and Toy fare is in the same time frame. Plus Prime continues February with new toys in March and we know Movie Trilogy exists. February will answer a lot of your questions. Toy Fair should have quite a few tidbits of info.

We'll know for sure about Dino/Mirage and Leader Class Decepticons, then. If no info then, we're most likely not going to see them.

My solid guess is that Hasbro's NYC toyfair in manhattan is 7 weeks away. it will reveal newer Transformers pics+info.
