Do you think we will ever see this figure?
He seems an important enough figure to have already been done!
I was hoping that since he was in the new movie and has a dotm figure that maybe that would generate enough interest in him to get us a generations figure.
Ofcourse, it could work reverse as well. Perhaps they will think "well we already have a dotm version so we dont need a generations version"
I am of the opinion that shockwave is a very important classics figure and that a classics line without him is flawed to say the least.
Anyone else pining away for a nicely done, newly molded generations/classics shockwave? Will we ever get him? What do ya think?

Apparently he plays a large role in Fall of Cybertron, so I suspect we'll at least see an FoC version of him.
Personally I can't wait, because I don't really like the E-Shockblast version all that much on account of the arms.

Yeup, I agree with everything ya said. I'm definitely hoping we get a WFC Shockwave. And the Energon Shockwave would have been fine if it weren't for the lack of articulation on his cannon arm.

Bam, instant Classics Shockwave. He never got a proper Earth mode in G1, the Hearts of Steel comics notwithstanding, and I've already repurposed WFC Prime and Megs as G1 Cybertronian Modes.

VERY Off topic here, but If I don't ask now, I may not get the chance to later.

I actually got a Binaltech Laserwave to stand in for Shockwave as part of my G1 Season 1 'con display.
Fine, "gunn not carr", but he looks really good, even better than Energon Shockwave, IMHO.

I don't get the affection people have or Shockblast, his waist is just a stupid construction, keeps hanging forward from the weight of his canon. Energon Shockblast is in no way a decent filler for a possible Generations Shockwave. BT Shockwave is far superior and beautiful to boot.
I'd loveto see a gun Shockwave, it can be done, he's a purple sci-fi gun. You can't rob a bank with that. Classics Megatron looks far more like a regular gun and he got a release, so why no Shockwave?

If he's ever done as a Classics figure he won't be G1 accurate. He'll probably get the Galvatron treatment and turn into a tank. I suppose what we all want is the original toy with better articulation and no parts-forming, and smaller to fit in with the rest of Classics.

I think it has to do with Gun Laws varying state by state. That's why Classics Megatron, despite being based on a Nerf weapon, has orange barrel tips and crazy colors to boot. Do you guys want to see a Shockwave with an orange barrel?

I agree that BT Shockwaye looks better. I had him with my Classics but he was so far out of scale so I used SL-Laserwave because his darker grays make him let him fit well with Henkei Megatron.
Yeah I hated the colors for Classics Megatron...dang orange cap!!

Considering he was an oversized purple Ray-gun to begin with I'd be fine with a big purple coloured ray-gun with the now customary orange tip.
And if Hasbro can get off their lazy film-bloated asses for a second and actually get around to giving us this no-brainer they wouldn't have to work too hard to take the design of the original, Voyagerise it and bump the articulation to modern standards.
Just get on with it Hastak and give me exactly that before I die.

normal sized transformers that turn into guns are the dumbest thing imaginable. Even the people that scream G1! should see this. Who fired the guns people tansformed into? oh yeah other robots...so a deluxe that turns into a gun means something that can be used by no one because mass shifting does not exist. Hence gun transformers are just stupid. In alt-mode its just a lame-ass pistol laying on your shelf

No!! We cant have any voyager sized shockwaves being released dang it!
Shockwave MUST fit in with the gen/ classics line.
And If you dont like a silly looking gun lying on our shelf you can always transform them into ther much cooler bot forms.
Dont know why anyone would wanna display henkei megs any way but his kick ass bot form anyway.
If we could settle for a voyager sized shockwave the dotm version would suffice, but we need a generations scale shockwave that looks as he did in the toons comics.
I could care less if he turns into a gun so small we cant hold him. As long as his bot form is cool make him anything you want hasbro. Just be SURE TO GIVE THE U.S. TOON ACCURATE COLORS!!!!

gimme a deluxe sized shockwave that turns into anything but a gun. Hell make it a gun turret. Something at least useful in its altmode for various displays
