Looking back on the toys released in previous years, One character has been brought back multiple times. One Evil Antagonist so massive, so powerful, and so destructive, that he was the endgame for Armada AND energon, (Plus his "Apearences" Throughout the Japanese beastwars series and one apearence of his head in beast wars, I think, season 1?) But why hasn't he gotten the good treatment with a fair new mold as of late? As collectors, we've only truly been givin 2 molds. Armada, wich has been re-used in universe, energon, takara release, and the 25th anniversary masterpiece (Complete with new head) and the Cybertron deluxe, wich imo is not a bad toy at all, makes a good troopbuilder, it just lacks Unicron's "Massive impending doom" Status dearly. We technically got three if you count the piss poor mcdonalds release. to my knowledge, that's it, not counting the un-used protos,(The beast wars neo one was perfection in a nutshell) That we never even saw.
With Transformers prime just starting up, with Unicron already used (Though not destroyed, so a return may be possible) Do you think we'll ever get a new massive (or at least sizably detailed) Unicron mold that will finally out-perform the Armada unicron and take it's place? I'm tired of seeing armada-cron everywere! We need a new Unicron mold like nobodies buisiness!

I hope so but I don't think so.

I think the Amazon and 2010 Takara versions did him justice well. I'd rather see figures like Blitzwing and Shockwave be addressed...or if we're talking large figures, then Metroplex and the like would still be better candidates. Although if they want to do Unicron for another line like Prime (I haven't watched so forgive me if his character doesn't make sense for a figure) or something, then so be it. But they probably won't one up a Classics version of him, nor is it really necessary to try.

I don't want a new Unicron.
I want a new Galvatron, a Soundwave, Shockwave, Trypticon... you get the idea.
I rather have them spend some time updating characters with no recent classics molds than re-doing a character we know they're probably not going to do any justice and will probably be a smaller mold than the existing Armada mold.

we don't actually need a whole hell of a lot, and honestly, I'm in agreement with Slip and Kibble that he's been done well enough, and certainly a lot better than some more commonly-occurring characters.

I'd buy the G1 (unreleased version) in a heartbeat!

Back in my day we had no Unicron "mold". We made our Unicrons out of rocks and sticks. Then we walked uphill 20 miles through the snow to get to school.

I haven't been able to purchase any Unicron toys, yet. Although I really want the Armada one. But I do agree that we should get a new mold, and I'm holding out on Hasbro giving is a Prime toy, they definitely should.

Yep! A release of that G1 one beauty would be outfrikkinstanding!! I don't even think about it anymore though. It's too painfull. I'm convinced it will never see the light of day at retail.

I too would love to see a new Galvatron (though they did him for Classics already), but I want a Voyager or Leader class.

Blitzwing really needs an update, and I expect Shockwave any minute now given the popularity of his figure from DotM. Heck, they may even bring Shocky into Prime at some point during season 2, who knows?

Give me a new Omega Supreme!

Or Trypticon, Metroplex, a proper Scorponok, a pony, a new computer...

Oh wait, Santa already came.

I have the Armada version and I'm happy with that

I own an Armada version which I modified a bit. I would like to see a G1-accurate Unicron, one that transforms into a whole round planet. Cybertron Primus was almost there, so they could do it.

I think the Armada mold is just fine.

I could see Hasbro making a Unicron for the Prime line, but I think it would be voyager sized, since we saw Prime fighting a whole bunch of those. That wouldn't make G1ers happy, but it would be a current Unicron.

Some of you guys mentioned that you would like to have the unreleased G1 Unicron. Is that because there is only one of them or because you actually like it? I think that thing looks terrible, so I am curious as to whether you are after the exclusivity or the figure itself.

I think the Amazon version of Armadacron is great. Even though he's a dated figure Unicron passes the test of time really well; I don't think we need a new figure of the big guy. Especially when there's so many others they could make.

If they were to have done away with the pit for the Deadend minicon when they made the new head, even if they just made a cap piece and glued it in or something. That the only change I can really think of. And do away with the clear right hand. Never liked that.

I agree. Unicron should be be big, and if they're going to spend the time to do such a large figure, they should do something or someone we haven't seen in a while.
