TF Prime figures are HARD to find. Best place to buy?

I just started getting into the TF Prime series and the figures look amazing. I went out on an adventure today to my local Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, and another Toys R Us and not a single Prime figure was to be found. All they seemed to have was the MECH TECH line.

Now, my search is taking me to the internets, but there are different prices at every site that I look, and shipping costs seem a bit outrageous ($9 for a $12 item).

1st question: why in god's name are TF Prime figures so hard to find?
2nd question: what's the best place online to buy TF Prime figures?

Thanks for the help guys, 1st post here.

The reason why TF Prime figures are hard to find is that the only ones released so far is the First Edition line which is not a mass retail line. Walmart, Target and K-Mart are not carrying them. Only specialty stores like Toys'r'us and online retailers are carrying this line.

When the main TF Prime line which is subtitled Robots in Disguise is launched around march-ish, they will be carried by all major brick and morter retailers which will be much easier to find.

As for online stores, I recommend BigBadToyStore, TFSource, Toy Arena or any of our valued sponsors.

Welcome to Seibertron, hope that answers your questions.

I've seen them at Toys R Us only, just Starscream, Bee and Arcee. Someone from here hooked me up with the deluxe Prime and Megatron from Canada.

Sorry to be newbish, but will the full line be the same as the first edition line? I ask because some of the characters are awesome, like starscream or voyager prime.

Thanks for the help.

I have a feeling if you are patient it will open up, as has been mentioned. For now, you can at least pick up Bumblebee here if you can't wait.

If you are asking about which characters will be in what lines, then no. First Wave Prime toys online only includes: Voyager! Prime, Voyager! Bulkhead, Entertainment pack (with Megatron, Prime, the kids), Deluxe! Arcee, Deluxe! Bumblebee, Deluxe! Bee, Deluxe! Cliffjumper and Deluxe! Vehicon. We also have the NYCC set that features the Pink! Arcee and Taxi! Bumblebee with Jack and Raf as well as the SDCC! Prime, which you can get still on Hasbrotoyshop.com.

USA has not got the Voyagers yet, along with the Entertainment pack nor Cliffjumper or the Vehicon. I had a friend pick me up Voyager! Bulkhead and Deluxe! Cliffjumper from Canada. I may ask her to do the same for Voyager! Prime. I may order a Deluxe! Vehicon and Entertainment pack from overseas, even though I'm trying to stick to official Hasbro toys only.

The Japanese toys on the other hand - I have no idea about. I know they are producing a lot of similar ones to Hasbro.

Robots in Disguise has already promised us with characters such as Wheeljack, Knockout, and Ratchet. I heard that we can be seeing these toys as early as Feb., which I'm hoping is true. I really wish it wasn't as difficult to find these toys. They are the only ones other then Generations that I want to collect. My stores are the same way. They just care about the DotM toys and usually there's only Optimus and Bumblebee left, if there is anything in the isle.

TF Prime has some of the best figures since Beast Wars IMHO.
