Curious to know what people's thoughts are on both of the molds and which they think is better?

Id'e go Leader,
But Voyager is the better choice, IMO, even with his arm issues.
The deluxe is cool and all, but the Voyager is in scale in bot mode, plus he even has what all the other movie starscreams dont: Thrusters on his back. Or at least, the fins on his back fold up to look like them in a way. He's got a unique transformation as well. Get the re-painted version if possible, it's a little better IMO

Repaint of the voyager class? any in particular you recommend?

DOTM is easy to transform and does a good job of hiding the robot parts in alt mode. He is very poseable, but I think he should at least be Voyager size.
For that one reason I personally prefer the ROTF, but then again I am skewed to the Nebular SS paint job, so maybe if the deluxe had that paint scheme DOTM would probably win, but I would still prefer it to be Voyager size. So really for overall fun of a toy I would go Leader, but you did ask about that.

Please don't make me choose

I think a lot of it depends on scale and who you have him standing next to. DOTM Voyagers don't really display well with ROTF Voyagers for the most part.

Only reason Starscream exists is so that Skywarp and Thundercracker show up. Since DOTM has it and ROTF doesn't, it goes to the Deluxe. When it comes to Starscream itself.. it's the Leader version hands down.

Since Skywarp and Thundercracker don't exist in the movie-verse to this point, I don't really care whether they have figures or not. Not to mention movie Starscream isn't exactly an appealing design so why bother having three of them?

Between the two figures mentioned...I dunno, they're both comparable, they both have their strengths and faults. But it's close enough that it basically comes down to which size better suits your liking.

'Cause that's what's been happening since the existence of Transformers.

And they exist in the movie-verse, albeit not the movies but if we're talking about it's verse than they made more than just cameos in the comics.

For me it's Deluxe DOTM SS, why you ask?

More fun and simple transformation(IMO)
Looks closer to the Leader (CGI Model and the proportions)
And of course the 2 other repaints which Blurrz mentioned (have yet to get skywarp too, hope he comes out in the movie trilogy line)

I enjoyed the Dotm Deluxe Starscream, and the first movie Voyager session is pretty decent, but I'd honestly go for the Leader mold. I love it, it's perfect in Vehicle mode, and most articulate.

The seekers have been crappy designs since the beginning?

If you look up 'worthless' in the dictionary, it says 'Having no real value or use. Example: TF movie comics.' Image

Some of y'all that mentioned DOTM Deluxe SS, you're not bothered by the size considering he is about the same height as Bumbleebee (Deluxe)?

Choosing between great toys is... An awesome first-world problem. I prefer the DOTM over the ROTF version. Both are great. The leader is a must, must, MUSTHAVE.

Well it is a given that the leader class is the best version (I have the Takara version). But I just want to focus primarily on the Voyager and Deluxe versions

In that case, might as well get the voyager class Starscream for scale.

I'm a big Starscream fan. Look at what I got:
ImageImage
As you can see, I love the movieverse Starscream as much as all of his other incarnations. At first, I wasn't sold on his desing. Having the Leader Class in hand changed that greatly. Leader movie Starscream from the HftD line is just perfect. So perfect, a MP version of him exist!
ImageImage
I ordered the DotM repaint of the RotF voyager.
I HATE IT SO MUCH! Non translucent red (shut up with your clear variant) the arms bed all wrong, and the wort offender, the hands that stick out of the vehicle mode. Beside, the voyager don't scale with anything. Leader Starscream Scale with Voyager Hironhide (DotM) and Optimus (HfD Battle Blade) and most deluxe cars. Yes, a jet is that big.
I find the DotM deluxe to be a perfect figure that scale well with most Cyberverse figures. The vehicle mode is superior even to the leader, the transformation is great fun, and the robot is great looking and is well articulated.
Final word. Pass on any voyager, except movie 2007 G1 colors. That one is silly looking and great fun!
Get the Leader and Deluxe.

Yeah, I loved the deluxe enough to have bought it twice. So I can display one in my Screamers collection, the other lead the Cyberverse battle. (Legend is ugly and dont make any sense.)

DOTM deluxe mold no doubt. As others have said, its looks good in both forms and looks great with the other deluxe figures. The voyager size is worthless for him since a jet needs to be huge to be in scale.

On top of that you can snag Thundercracker and Sky Warp (bought the bullet and got the Takara version). Hopefully the will do a Gen 1 redeco. It will look goofy, but Ill buy it on site.

If you've got Revoltech's Optimus Prime, then definitely go with ROTF voyager SS. I just got Revo OP for cheap at a hobby shop sale, and he scales in almost perfectly with ROTF Voyager SS.

I had loads of fun creating a diorama of the forest fight scene from ROTF in my glass display case. Pity I never bought Voyager Megatron, or the diorama would have been perfect.

Leader is the best IMO as far as what it can do. It is pretty bad ass because it has better arm articulation. Personally I'm not a fan of large leader class figures.

Voyager class is good. I did a custom of one a over year ago, http://www.chonosmoon.com/transformers/skywarp
It was one of my favorite molds at the time. It makes a good medium sized display piece.

Deluxe is nice if you just want to display or have something that doesn't take up a lot of space. I just bought 3 because I favor the smaller figures.

I hope this helps.

That's a cool Skywarp. I wish Hasbro had waited to do the G1 repaints on the Starscream mold for ROTF in stead of the 07 version, It such a better toy in that it is more streamlined.

Thanks bro. I wish Hasbro did too, but they didn't so I made one. =)
