Okay, when I first heard about Soundwave, Que, and deluxe leadfoot coming to retail, The specific date was in December. December rolls around, and they say it's been pushed back 'till February. Well, It's February, and in between the constant flood of TF: Prime and FOC Combaticons, I havn't heard a single thing. If anyone knows a thing about when the Trilogy line will be released, please let me know. A few weeks ago I was discussing this, and it sounded like something that was indeed a reality. now, not so much? I hope this isn't the whole TF Animated Fiasco all over again...

I think they got sucked into the same black hole as the Prime FE's...
The NY Toy Fair is this weekend, so perhaps some light will be shed on it then.

Deluxe Leadfoot is a Target exclusive, so there's still hope of him coming to retail. As for Soundwave and Que, either Hasbro is going to push the Trilogy line's release further into the future so they can be released (not likely), or not release them at all(VERY likely ).

I can do without Que, but I actually NEED deluxe Leadfoot and Soundwave. I just can't wrap my head around why Soundwave wasn't in one of the initial waves.

Or they might directly hit discount stores. Just like those RTS voyagers.

You could write to Hasbro and ask them, but I think I already know what they'll say:
Thank you for contacting Hasbro Customer Service.
As we greatly value our TRANSFORMERS fans and consumers, we appreciate the opportunity to clarify and explain the current situation with TRANSFORMERS PRIME First Edition Trilogy figure availability in the U.S.
We very much apologize for the miscommunication with our great retailers in the U.S. Regrettably, as a result, the TRANSFORMERS PRIME First Edition Trilogy figures were posted for pre-sale in error. Final product was not produced for these figures to ship within the U.S. As such, any consumer who placed a pre-sale order with Big Bad Toy Store or Entertainment Earth in the U.S. received a note that their order had been cancelled and these orders will not be fulfilled. While it is common for Hasbro to cancel production and/or shipment of collectible figures prior to being listed for pre-sale, this particular situation was unique. We deeply regret this circumstance and understand your frustration.
We would also like to express that we hear the fan community in the U.S. loud and clear - you want these specific TRANSFORMERS PRIME First Edition Trilogy figures. While we can’t confirm anything at this time, and the format in which these figures are packaged and distributed may change, the team is looking into ways to make these available at a later date in the U.S. and will keep the fan community and our retailers posted as opportunities develop. We want to make this right, and making these figures available to the U.S. fans is a top priority for the team. We greatly appreciate your understanding and ongoing enthusiasm for the brand and hope in the mean time, you enjoy the TRANSFORMERS PRIME DOTM figures that are hitting warming shelves now and in the coming weeks.
Regards,
The TRANSFORMERS Team

Probably to keep his alt's identity secret, it was a major plot twist in the movie after all. Why wait until February is beyond me, though. And why the Legion got released but not the Deluxe/HA is a real puzzler.
At this point I expect Hasbro to completely skip over this last wave and go straight to the repaints. I'd love to be wrong (I do want that BLUE Que), but we'll have to see what this weekend brings...

Keep this in mind as a back up. I had to go this route.

Actually, Que and Soundwave were released under the DOTM line, not the trilogy subline.
They were part of wave 7 (?), the wave after Darksteel & Friends. They are already released in Asia as of last December though... so it should not be long before they hit US retail

You're wrong sir. This is what they'd reply:
Thank you for your comments. We will pass them on to our marketing team.

Ah yes, the "marketing team", also known as the "circular file".
Call me a Negatron, but I have the sinking feeling that we in the US are going to get f****ed on these figures as well, which seems to be the recurring pattern now.
Good Lord! We've become the new UK! We're going to need to start a "disgruntled yanks crew" sooner or later.

Wow... Hearing Hasbro say that there are no plans to continue the movie line was quite a blow for me since I'm strictly a TF movie collector. I now have two huge throbbing blue balls after being teased with deluxe Que, Leadfoot, and Soundwave all year with, apparently, no happy ending in sight.
Based on the RotF release schedule with the movie and initial toy line in the summer of '09, and then the excellent follow up HftD line in the summer of '10, I was holding onto the hope that we'd see the Trilogy line relased this upcoming summer, with the three aforementioned deluxes and the much pined for Shockwave and Megatron leader molds, or at least the retooled abs Prime leader mold.
The DotM seems like a huge missed opportunity at worst, a mixed bag at best. I'm in love with leader Sentinel, the two Wreckers deluxes, voyager IH, and the vastly underrated deluxe BB (only ruined by the lack of paint apps that would have it on par with HftD BB BB). Even deluxe Barricade was a huge step up from the '07 mold. But the line was clogged with unnecessary new molds of Jolt, the twins, Skyhammer, and cartoony and inappropriately sized voyagers of Prime, Megatron, Shockwave, and leaders BB and IH. C'mon, Hasbro! This was not only the biggest movie of the franchise, but one of the biggest movies of ALL TIME!!! And you just give up on the line?! Can't wait for the next movie installment in 2014 when TF: Prime will be dead and gone (as much as I love the show, I don't like "cartoony" toys, hypocrite that I am) and Hasbro can devote all their energies into making the next movie line a massive success and capitalize on all the imaginative new characters and designs. I mean, c'mon, no DINO?! Say what you want about the Bay movies, but their toys set new standards in detail, articulation, and complexity of design. I can't wrap my brain around it being abandoned for a fringe cartoon that few viewers even have access to. It's like my brain has an itch that can't be scratched.

Do you guys never look on eBay? Deluxe Leadfoot and Deluxe Soundwave are easily available from eBay sellers. Ok you may have to spend abit more to get them, but if you want them that badly. I got my deluxe Soundwave from Kapow Toys in the UK (I'm in the UK) for a bit more than in-store price, but I was willing to pay extra just to get him.
P.S. my HA Soundwave arrived today, oh the joy

everyone knows you can get them on ebay. The point is we expected to see them in stores.
And you must have lucked out. I just took a peak on ebay. Deluxe Soundeave is averaging 3-4 time normal retail and that's before shipping is added. Leadfoot and Que are scare and are 5-8 times market value, before shipping.

Iirc I paid £17.99 plus postage from Kapow, but it looks like they are sold out now. Looks like I got in on Soundwave at the right time.

Eh, dearie, both Soundwave and Que were released in Decemeber by TakaraTomy, not Hasbro. And we're talking about their repaints: Soundwave in a Soundblaster-like deco, and Wheeljack sporting a new G1-inspired head.
That really sucks too, because I really wanted the Que and Soundwave. I'd happily take the repaints (especially the Que with the Wheeljack head) if those aren't cancelled also.
