$13 for a deluxe at Walmart? OK, not cool. Smaller figures, higher price. Not cool Hasbro :/
I wonder if that's going to be the price all around or if it's just because it's Orlando...

You know, a lot of people bitch and moan about Wal Mart, but at least their prices are reasonable. When I shop at TRU and (and sometimes, even at Target) I fully expect to be bent over and screwed without any lube.

I hope you bought more than just a voyager and a deluxe. 1 voyager and 1 deluxe does not total 54 bucks. Yeah, and I'm gonna wait until the deluxes are on sale. No way I'm paying 13 bucks for a smaller figure.

Geez shut up. Here at my place? 18$ each normal retail price. And it's been that way for more than 5 years now. I consider you guys LUCKY to have it only 13$. If I were collecting TFs at US instead of my place my collection would be DOUBLED. So just shut up sheesh.

I'm liking that Megatron, but can't complain about the price increase in deluxes. I already got Cliff Jumper, and now just waiting on Ratchet. Other than that...deluxes aren't doing it for me. MIGHT pick up the Vehicon, and if Knock Out gets a figure.

Why don't you hush. If they've been $18 for years you have no place to complain about price increases. The toys just went up $3 to match those of Target and are $1 short of TRU.
Find it kind of funny you just bitched harder than I did since I only stated an observation. Considering I tend to buy from TRU I'm not complaining all that hard *rolls eyes*

No offense, but your post comes off as seriously rude, what with telling another member to shut up for stating their opinion. If you are outside the USA maybe you do have higher prices, but there are different economies and cost of living to consider. Also consider if you are outside the USA you likely have different distribution than we in the US get, so you may have access to many most of us never see hit shelves(here's looking at you Windcharger and First Edition Prime). Further more, somewhere out there someone else always has to pay more than you for something someplace, so its a little unreasonable to expect people not to be unhappy with price jumps in their own area.
Personally, I agree with Erailea on the price increases. We keep seeing figures get smaller and get less paint apps. In 2008 I paid $7.88 regular price at local WalMarts for deluxe scale classics. Four years later deluxe are smaller on average and getting less paint detail, but cost $5 more? How would anyone be expected to not be less than pleased about that?

I figured this was the reason why my Walmart has been deserted in the TF section.
And after seeing that Megatron in my TRU, no thanks. It's like a blown-up Legends class. Very dull. At least the Deluxe was sharper and shiny.

If Target has RID on the plannogram to hit 2/26, then that's a Sunday. Which is the start of a new ad week. If theyre holding product for that date, then I guarantee that there's a sale that goes along with it.
Be patient. I can almost say for certain you'll see deluxes for $9.99 and voyagers for $17.99 at Target next Sunday.

walmart charging $13 for a deluxe what the hell is up with that? DOTM was $9.88 and they were the same size & quality as Prime looks to be. they've always been the place to go for deluxes. Well looks like i wont be getting wheeljack right away, ill just wait for a sale or coupon to come around and if hes still more than $11 after that then screw it i can live without em. At least the voyagers are the same price and im sure cyberverse will be too since i noticed the legends at target the other day and they were $5. This could just be walmarts way of screwing over the "early adopters", you know the people that have to have it right away and cant wait a week or two cause they cant admit they have a problem. I use to be that way but ive seen the error in my ways and if i have to wait 2 months then so be it ill wait.

LOL yeah, it was grocery day for me, and it was just a random find... I folded up the receipt just to show the price of Megs and Wheeljack.

$13 not too bad, Toys R Us has the deluxes for $14.99 and voyagers for $26.99. I am going to make a point of hitting Wal-Mart first and Toys R Us last on my hunts.

I nabbed my WJ from Target for $13.99 (worth every penny) but a dollar lower at wally world is ok. Better than the raping from TRU..

BTW, this was my post on the Florida sighting board regarding Walmart vs TRU pricing...
infinitimagnus wrote:Sup floridians...
RID is busting out the seams in Orlando Walmart stores. I just picked up RID Wheeljack and Voyager Megatron on Goldenrod RD near OIA. Yep, Walmart. And the deluxes and voyagers are cheaper at Walmart than they are in TRU.
Deluxes - 12.88 compared to 14.99 at TRU
Voyagers - 19.96 compared to 26.99 at TRU
I think the Voyager ratio is 3 or 4:1 Optimus to Megatron (picked up the last Megatron, and surprisingly my first), and there is one Wheeljack left, compared to the 4 Cliffjumpers (which I think look terrible compared to the FE) and 6 BB.
Anyway, hope this helps...
Happy hunting!

Fun fact I found out about Walmart - you can return the toys up to 2 months after you buy them (I actually think it's 3 but I'll say 2 to be safe. I remember, for sure, their return policy is well over the standard 30 day limit). So if you buy them now and in a month or two they drop the price, take the items and your receipt back to the store and return them and re-buy what you want/need.
A cashier told me this when I was buying DOTM cyerverse stuff with the $5 coupons in the fall. Lol. She mentioned it because I told her I had bought a bunch of figures months before, not knowing the coupons were going to come out. She was pretty adamant about me bringing back all my MISB so I could get a $5 off each. Lol. Never did because I thought it too big a hassle... that and at the time I didn't realize they take stuff back without a receipt, but they give you the lowest market value in such instances. I imagine, if they're like Target, they use your drivers license to limit how much you can return a year without a receipt too.

I walked into Toys R Us two days ago and found Voyager Optimus. Keep in mind I own 70+ Optimus Prime figures, so I rarely pass one up (the exceptions being most of the movie repaints and fairy-princess/mothra prime). I looked at it, decided I'd give it a shot (even with the translucent forearms, mostly because I missed the FE toys ) and then saw the 26.99 price tag. I don't think I have been more disgusted with a store price as I was right then. I doubt he has classics prime's size, and he's nearly 30 bucks (actually he would be with tax). Another killing point to Optimus : Despite being covered in translucent BLUE plastic withe translucent BLUE weapons (claiming to be energon effect) the weapons have RED LEDs in them!!! Just like green eyed ROTF Prime lol I used to buy toybiz X-men figures. I never saw a Cyclops with a different colored light in his visor. If Hasbro doesn't want to use the right color, then just use a plain, white LED. Plastic + White LED = correct color

I don't think I have anything positive to post lately this sucks!

Yeah the prices do suck but we all have to pay even at the gas pump. I'm grateful we at least get them here at those prices and not somewhere else paying 2x much or more.

I finally saw Powerizer Prime today, and he is indeed tiny. He's definitely bigger than Classics Prime by a long shot though, and the transluscent plastic actually looks pretty good in person.
Peaugh suggested that you can use a red Sharpie to color in the forearms if it bugs you that much.

Guys, these are nearly the same as Target's prices, but with the Target Redcard, you get 5% off. You can get it as a true credit card or a debit card, tied to your checking account. So a Voyager comes to $19 and Deluxe to 12.35. Works online too.
On top of that, if you use Target's pharmacy, you get and additional 5% off certificate each time you buy 5 prescriptions, for a 10% discount. If you have Targets nearby it's a no-brainer. Sorry if this sounds like Target spam, but it realy os a good deal.

To everyone complaining about the Wal-Mart prices, this seems to be the cheapest out of all the competition! Also, I seem to remember the recent Generations figures being at the same price point, yet the DOTM Deluxes were kept at $9.88. Probably cheaper for the DOTM considering how much more Wal-Mart ordered of these guys.
I'll be glad to pick up some of the Cyberverse figures once stocked. Already got the first wave of deluxes at TRU, and voyagers are waiting for me online. Would love to purchase deluxes at $10 again (or even $8), but it seems the economy is far from recovering. I can only hope that the new Generations figures keep the same sizes that we are used to. For PRID, at least it's a new line that I'm not trying to fit anyone into.
